So, has anyone ever thought about changing their weapon before? If anyone has, or if anyone has actually gone through with it, how did that work out for you? Thanks in advance for any advice you guys might have.

[A small pause before she continues.]

Also, does anyone have any pointers on how to not physically stick out in a crowd? I really don't want to get harassed again...

[How about some advice from a ninja?]

Cover your hair. A hat or some kind of hood will work. The more hair you have, the harder it is to manage.

If you wear neutral and dark clothes, that helps too. A lot of the stuff we came in wearing, you can't find here.

Well, I do have quite a bit of hair. [Laughs nervously.] But I think I've found something with a hood on it during the time I've been here. I'm pretty sure it's dark, too! I have some other dark clothes, too.

[She probably bought them during emo month January.]

Thanks for the advice, by the way. I consider myself to be a pretty fashionable person, but it's not worth it if I stand out too much and get people riding my ass.

Yeah, it has! I'm glad you're okay... I was worried when I didn't hear anything during the bombings.

And, no problem. I've had to blend in before. I found a really old black coat with a couple holes in it, so that's been my main 'disguise' when I go outside.

It's a lot more serious than that, though. I've already heard about fights breaking out. You should be careful.

Kaneis! Can't say I was expecting you. [Maybe she doesn't pay enough attenion, but she rarely ever spots him on these. Though she did on Sophie's post about the dolls, and she found that amusing.] Anyway, I think I've heard a mention of it once or twice. I hope it wasn't just me hearing things.

[A groan, then a slight smile.]

Yeah, probably! I'm not too sure about cutting it yet, as stupid as that must sound. [girl do you even know who you're talking to] But, hey! I know a few ways I can pin it up. I think I'll try to see how that works with a jacket that has a hood.

Yeah, a hood would probably work just fine. Pinning it up isn't that hard once you know how.

Well, it's mostly my hair. [She takes a little of it in one of her hands, laughing slightly.] The color of my eyes doesn't seem to be pretty common here either, but I think not as many people are going to notice that.

A lot of people back home said I was pretty pale too, but that doesn't really apply here. [It rains all the time--people are gonna be pale.]

[Seven couldn't say she had many ideas on either subject. She was still resolutely ignoring the implications of her 'weapon', and well. She can't help but stick out. Doesn't really care about it, for her own sake.

However...as much of a non-presence as Seven has been around their shared quarters, she was protective in her own way.]

I could potentially create a small holo-emitter that would alter the perception of your appearance.

[Oh! Oh... it's that new roommate. The one Tori hasn't seen around much. Not that Tori saw much of the roommate Seven's replaced, but that's not the point. It doesn't matter if she hasn't seen much of the older woman or not, she seems nice enough.

No, not exactly. The idea of changing weapons has never once crossed my mind. [Then again, Mamoru was technically her weapon from back home because he was her shikigami. Not only that, but he was also very special to her. But just because she was rather fortunate with her weapon, doesn't mean that everyone was just as lucky. Maybe the other girl had a weapon she did not feel entirely comfortable with.] Why do you want to know? Is there something wrong with your weapon?

I don't exactly have any pointers to offer in the "not physically sticking out crowd" topic, but I can help you in the "keep the natives from harassing me" corner though. [Then she begins to wonder.] If you want, I can help you look more normal or disappear from their sight. Which would you most prefer to have?

Why would you want to change your weapon, Veraun? I was told it is supposed to aid you, did the Initiative lie? As for crowds, I am tall, and do not have much experience with not sticking out save appearing to have a 'meek' demeanor.

No, they didn't lie! ...as far as I know. [She still doesn't know where she stands with the Initiative as far as trusting them. She just knows the United Earth are the bigger assholes.] As for having a 'meek' demeanor is concerned, I'm not too sure if the natives will back off if someone has that.

I have. The weapon I came here with was already powerful when they imbued it with whatever they do, so perhaps something better different might be good for me. But until I can find out what changes it might cause to another weapon, I do not wish the risk.

As far as how to not stick out in a crowd... No ideas, sorry. I stick out no matter what I do.
