So, has anyone ever thought about changing their weapon before? If anyone has, or if anyone has actually gone through with it, how did that work out for you? Thanks in advance for any advice you guys might have.

[A small pause before she continues.]

Also, does anyone have any pointers on how to not physically stick out in a crowd? I really don't want to get harassed again...

[How about some advice from a ninja?]

Cover your hair. A hat or some kind of hood will work. The more hair you have, the harder it is to manage.

If you wear neutral and dark clothes, that helps too. A lot of the stuff we came in wearing, you can't find here.

Can you change your weapon?

And yeah, I guess covering your hair would be your best bet.

Well, I do have quite a bit of hair. [Laughs nervously.] But I think I've found something with a hood on it during the time I've been here. I'm pretty sure it's dark, too! I have some other dark clothes, too.

[She probably bought them during ~~emo month~~ January.]

Thanks for the advice, by the way. I consider myself to be a pretty fashionable person, but it's not worth it if I stand out too much and get people riding my ass.

[While the colouring is a bit uncommon for humans, it's nothing she hasn't seen many times before. That this human has been singled out seems odd to her.]

Kaneis! Can't say I was expecting you. [Maybe she doesn't pay enough attenion, but she rarely ever spots him on these. Though she did on Sophie's post about the dolls, and she found that amusing.] Anyway, I think I've heard a mention of it once or twice. I hope it wasn't just me hearing things.

[A groan, then a slight smile.]

Yeah, probably! I'm not too sure about cutting it yet, as stupid as that must sound. [girl do you even know who you're talking to] But, hey! I know a few ways I can pin it up. I think I'll try to see how that works with a jacket that has a hood.

Well, it's mostly my hair. [She takes a little of it in one of her hands, laughing slightly.] The color of my eyes doesn't seem to be pretty common here either, but I think not as many people are going to notice that.

A lot of people back home said I was pretty pale too, but that doesn't really apply here. [It rains all the time--people are gonna be pale.]

I got bored enough to turn on my tablet. [It happens sometimes!] Hm, I didn't know that.

Yeah, a hood would probably work just fine. Pinning it up isn't that hard once you know how.

[ooc: surprise, Seven is one of Tori's roommates? Feel free to assume at least...some interaction has occurred since Sev's been around for a month.]

[Seven couldn't say she had many ideas on either subject. She was still resolutely ignoring the implications of her 'weapon', and well. She can't help but stick out. Doesn't really care about it, for her own sake.

However...as much of a non-presence as Seven has been around their shared quarters, she was protective in her own way.]

I could potentially create a small holo-emitter that would alter the perception of your appearance.

[Which begs the question why she hasn't whipped one up already to hide her freakin' metal eyebrow to avoid harassment herself, whoops.]

Yeah, it has! I'm glad you're okay... I was worried when I didn't hear anything during the bombings.

And, no problem. I've had to blend in before. I found a really old black coat with a couple holes in it, so that's been my main 'disguise' when I go outside.

[She pauses, and then adds:]

It's a lot more serious than that, though. I've already heard about fights breaking out. You should be careful.

Foolishness. I've observed many younger humans with similar colouring. [At home, you have, Cissa. This is not home.]

You're committed to keeping the natural pigmentation? [Pretty much the best she can think of, because honestly. She's never going to not stick out so she's never considered the problem.]

...you were? [Tori's cheeks turn a little pink at that.] I mean, yeah--I guess I can understand why you would be.

I'm glad you have a 'disguise' too, then. I wouldn't want you being harassed any more than I'd want myself being harassed, you know?

[As she takes in that last bit, she blushes a little more. Jeez, where's all this concern coming from?] I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for having my back, Sheena.

Well it's good to hear from you, regardless! Especially since shit went down again. [Sigh.] Well, I hope it wasn't just me hearing things, anyway.

I'm pretty sure I remember how to pin my hair up! I just... might need to practice a few times. Yeah! [It's been a while.]

[Oh! Oh... it's that new roommate. The one Tori hasn't seen around much. Not that Tori saw much of the roommate Seven's replaced, but that's not the point. It doesn't matter if she hasn't seen much of the older woman or not, she seems nice enough.

Tori's eyes widen at said roommate's suggestion, in any case.]

Seven's eyebrow arches, but the haughtiness of the expression is somewhat softened by the quirk of her mouth.]

Ah. Then yes, finding a way to conceal it would indeed be the most logical solution. It does get tiresome dealing with the bookah that insist we are the perpetrators of their misfortune.

[Not that it stops her from going out. She has things to do!]

Heh, sure you'll be fine.

Obviously, more concealing clothes. Unless you have trademark distinguishing appearances that would be visible through them, I imagine you'd easily get away with that much.

W-- well, yeah. [Oh no, it's her turn to tsun a little.] We've fought together a couple times. Of course I'm gonna worry a little bit.

[She probably needs someone to worry about her, with how much of a hothead she is. She realizes this, deep down, but doesn't say it.]

I guess I can't blame them for thinking the way they do, but it is frustrating. I mean, we're trying to help their world, right?

I'm sorry, I just--that is just too cool. [Tori's grinning a little now, likely reflecting her words with it.] Anyway, thank you for offering. It would be awesome if you could try it.

Yeah--after a couple discussions here, I'm going to be pulling out the dark clothes and hooded jackets for sure. I'll probably take my earring out when I leave my apartment, too. Thanks, though.
