[Sora isn’t exactly the greatest with computers. Really, it’s a miracle he’s figured out how to type a message at all, though ‘type’ is a loose term. The hunt and peck may or may not be attributed to suspicion that this little electronic device might eat him ~~like the last one did~~. He's followed along with the whole introduction to the Initiative and doesn't seem to concerned about it - kinda normal for him, really - so he's just inside the housing building trying to figure this piece of junk out.

[It’s at this point that, since it’s clear mashing enter isn’t about to accomplish anything, he’s inspecting the little device, pressing this key and that key and moving the scroll and it’s only by a stroke of luck he discovers (accidentally) the video function. When it comes on, it’s showing an awesome view of… the upper corner of the ceiling. Currently inspecting the underside of the keyboard portion of the device while holding it above his head, he’s muttering to himself.]

What’s this thing even do? It looks kinda small for a computer. [The shot of the ceiling blurs as he shakes it, and then the world turns upside down to show a pair of very bright and very intense blue eyes.]

Oh, now it’s doing something. Uh. Hey, Tron. You in there? Or… another program… guy. Promise I won’t bite. Can you help me out? I’m looking for a friend— See, his name’s Riku and we got separated and then I showed up here. He—

After the past year or two? That was't what he was expecting. Just. Bam, instant Riku. Why couldn't you do that before?]

Riku! So you are here!

[And in... the...

[...So it's shaking again.]

[ what are you-- ]

Put it down, Sora! I'm not in the computer.

[This has happened to him before, okay? It wasn't cool. But he's stopping. And freezing aside from tilting his head skeptically.]

You're... not? But you-- [Can't decide if you're pulling his leg, but on the other hand you know about these things...] Okay, where are you, then?

And I can't just put this thing on the floor. It looks kinda expensive, and they gave it to me. You don't just treat gifts like that.

I'm in the same building you are, unit 106. It looks like you're already in housing.

[ a beat; ]

Put it on the table.

Yeah, the guy showed me over here and then split. Didn't catch his name, but I guess that's what they do whenever new people come here?

[Well he guesses there's a counter in the lobby here somewhere, so he'll do as he's told once he finds a suitable surface. It is taking a good portion of his willpower to keep the skepticism out of his voice - gonna take seeing you in person before he completely believes you about the computer thing.]

So where's that?

It's upstairs. [ a pause--he's not sure if he trusts Sora to not get lost among the rooms, or help any other transports, especially since he's already fiddling with a computer... he'll just go down to greet him. ]

I'm coming down.

[What are you talking about, Riku, he can totally stay focused. ...At least when it comes to you and Kairi and some other friends in particular.

And he's kind of looking around, not exactly bewildered. More like "a Riku could appear from anywhere any second."]

Okay. I'll wait.

Program guy? [ no, kid, why. he doesn't use technology much either because it's so dangerous but.. even he doesn't think little people live inside the wires. ] You're not going to accomplish anything by giving people motion sickness.

[...He's still skeptical about what Riku just said regarding him not being actually in the computer, but. Maybe this guy is the same? Maybe it's a world thing. Either way, he's at least leveling the camera out.] Er. Sorry! This better?

Yeah, program-- I can't remember the word he used. It's a long story.

[ Oh that poor computer...

Fayt holds back a wince at all the things that this person could possibly be doing to the computer, trying not to stare for too long or else he'll get dizzy from all the motions. Being from a technological advanced world and seeing how technology is handled in general by some people makes him wonder if there should be a session in teaching the advances or something of the like. But whether people would be interested in that sort of thing, he didn't know yet.

Either way, he waits for things to settle, listening and perking up at the mention of Riku. ]

If no one's told you yet, Riku is here.

[ Though whether it's the same Riku is left to be determined. ]

[The screen is jumping a little but then settling when Sora's face appears again. Really, he's convinced that he can figure it all out if he just looks at it a little more.]

Oh! Yeah. He told me already. I'm gonna see him in a minute.

[...Wait, you know Riku but Sora doesn't know you. Could. Could you possibly be.] --Are you a friend of his?

Much. [ that sunny disposition though, it's good. better than how Nico acted. ] This device is this place's version of a cellphone, I think. Same purpose.

Oh! Um..

[ Now that's a question he isn't quite sure to answer. Sure he and Riku had spoken with each other after the first mission, him even going so far as to attempt to heal his hand and succeeding to a degree. But could they be considered friends? ]

Well, we've only really talked to each other once but I'd like for us to be friends.

[ pause ] I take it that you're a friend of his, though?

[..............

He might be scratching the back of his head here a little.]

A what?

[Only... once? Well, that makes sense if Riku just got there, too. He'd just seen him before arriving, so...

But the thoughtful expression is brief, and he's perking up again.]

Yeah, the best! We grew up together.

[ bro, i'm from before WWII and i know what cellphones are ] Phones that you carry in your pocket? [ honestly, what even. ] Where are you from, last century?

You can talk to people through them.

[ ... ] Basically, very small computers. Smaller than this one.

[ so he ends the feed, puts on a jacket and starts heading down to lobby. ... it's a little surreal to see Sora just standing there. he's starting to wonder if it's the stress of the developing nightmares or if it's the stress of training and frequent blackouts that's causing this somewhat-hallucination.

... or maybe Sora really is here. either way, when he steps into the hallway and spots Sora, he... does not expect him to move. ]

We don't have them where I'm from-- [Or at least he doesn't think so? His family's a little backwater, so...] Er. Small computer. Got it. Thanks!

Oh, and I'm Sora!

That's great! It's good to know that someone from his world is here for him.

[ He has a vague idea that Riku's been through a lot, their first chat having more than a person would think a simple chat would have. But it really is nice to know that someone will be around to help Riku. And since this person is the other's best friend, even better. ]

Riku!

[He's moving the second he spots him, really, about to leap but right at the last second he's remembering that limp you had and skidding to a stop, computer forgotten on whatever surface he left it.

But then... something else is occurring to him, and his head is tipping almost dramatically sideways.]

Uh... what happened to your clothes?

Yeah, of course! [The response is so automatic that it's clear he'd never even consider thinking otherwise.]

I'm Sora! I take it you're another one of the "transports"?

I'm Fayt Leingod. It's nice to meet you, Sora.

[ This one sure is a contrast to others that he's seen and met with so far, though admittedly it hasn't been very many. There's just a liveliness that's refreshing. ]

Yeah, I just got here about a month or so ago. Still pretty new compared to other people.
