[Sora isn’t exactly the greatest with computers. Really, it’s a miracle he’s figured out how to type a message at all, though ‘type’ is a loose term. The hunt and peck may or may not be attributed to suspicion that this little electronic device might eat him like the last one did. He's followed along with the whole introduction to the Initiative and doesn't seem to concerned about it - kinda normal for him, really - so he's just inside the housing building trying to figure this piece of junk out.

[It’s at this point that, since it’s clear mashing enter isn’t about to accomplish anything, he’s inspecting the little device, pressing this key and that key and moving the scroll and it’s only by a stroke of luck he discovers (accidentally) the video function. When it comes on, it’s showing an awesome view of… the upper corner of the ceiling. Currently inspecting the underside of the keyboard portion of the device while holding it above his head, he’s muttering to himself.]

What’s this thing even do? It looks kinda small for a computer. [The shot of the ceiling blurs as he shakes it, and then the world turns upside down to show a pair of very bright and very intense blue eyes.]

Oh, now it’s doing something. Uh. Hey, Tron. You in there? Or… another program… guy. Promise I won’t bite. Can you help me out? I’m looking for a friend— See, his name’s Riku and we got separated and then I showed up here. He—

[ so he ends the feed, puts on a jacket and starts heading down to lobby. ... it's a little surreal to see Sora just standing there. he's starting to wonder if it's the stress of the developing nightmares or if it's the stress of training and frequent blackouts that's causing this somewhat-hallucination.

... or maybe Sora really is here. either way, when he steps into the hallway and spots Sora, he... does not expect him to move. ]

Riku!

[He's moving the second he spots him, really, about to leap but right at the last second he's remembering that limp you had and skidding to a stop, computer forgotten on whatever surface he left it.

But then... something else is occurring to him, and his head is tipping almost dramatically sideways.]

Uh... what happened to your clothes?

[ he glances down at his long sweater-like shirt and navy trousers, then sighs. ]

I've been here for months, Sora. I had to change my clothes sometime.

[understands_nothing]

[Okay, maybe half a dramatic leap in the other direction. That is, backwards.]

--Months!? But-- I just... saw you. Less than an hour ago! We walked through the door, and then...

[curepotion]

... you went through the door. You didn't get to the Islands?

[ leaning forwards. ]

action;

[understands_nothing]

[Just kind of standing there. Blinking. Because why are you asking that since you apparently didn't--]

[curepotion]

I did. [ ... sigh. ]

[understands_nothing]

[...Not processing...]

But-- So then-- Wait, how are you here?

[AND in the computer?]

action;

[curepotion]

[ he presses his fist under his lip, in a thoughtful expression. ]

You must be from a different time. Roxas was, too.

[understands_nothing]

[Wait, kind of like... Well, Merlin sent him and Donald and Goofy into the past that once, so it's not completely unbelievable, but.]

Okay, but. How?

[curepotion]

[ he rubs the back of his neck and exhales loudly. ]

They can transport people from different times in their world. I don't know how... but they can. The same way you were brought in, d'you remember?

[understands_nothing]

Yeah, of course.

[He's crossing his arms and has his thinking face on, twisting side-to-side just slightly.]

So... when are you from? I was supposed to get home with you, right?

action;

[curepotion]

[ ... why does he get to go home when Sora doesn't? this doesn't make any sense. he presses a hand against his forehead and then nods simply. ]

It's been... a few months since we got back.

action;

[understands_nothing]

A few months... [He's trailing off, lost in thought for a few moments before suddenly:]

Wait! A few months there and a then a few more months here? Ah, man! Now you're even older than me!

[curepotion]

[ a pause of surprise, then he outright laughs.

of course that'd be the first thing Sora thinks about. ]

Yeah, I guess I am.

action;

[understands_nothing]

[After a second more of moaning about it, Sora starts to laugh a little, too, almost a snort since he's trying to hold it in.]

Well, whatever. Riku's still Riku. At least you didn't get that much taller.

[One day he'll catch up.]

I think you owe me a birthday present.

[understands_nothing]

Oh, c'mon. Can't we call it even? You're difficult to shop for!

And besides, if I was home with you then you'll get one then! Or got one? You know what I mean!

[A sulk. At least... this feels good. Familiar. It's reassuring to know that they can fall back into things so easily, even after everything that's happened.]

And, you're... feeling better now, right?

[ there are a lot of things... he's trying to think back to before they got back home, but there were so many things in between... ]

[He's crossing his arms and tilting his head again.]

After Xemnas-- ...The limp?

[ he nods simply. ]

I'm fine. I'm just scarred.

[understands_nothing]

Okay. That's good.

[He's nodding, and there's a pause.]

[And then, abruptly, he is attached to Riku's middle with no intention of letting go.

At least for a minute.

At least he made sure it wouldn't knock you over, first?]
