The other day, I had some mildly bad things to say about United Earth's lack of appreciation for a fair fight. Learning now that they wage war using plagues, I may have been too fast to judge their character.

[Painful, hacking cough.]

I'm convinced now. I'll do anything that is in my power to help the Initiative fight them.

There's a difference between doing something because you must and because you think it's the right thing to do.

Short sightedness, mainly. It usually lasts from when someone new arrives until United Earth actually DOES something, when all they have to see are a distant foe, and a close kidnapper.

That does make sense. It's difficult to hate an enemy you've only heard about.

Which is why we are normally patient with such people. We have at least gotten past the stage of people actively plotting to overthrow the Initiative.
