Cat's sitting at a desk, elbow propped against its surface, his hand in his hair. The collar of his shirt has been pulled away to show the mess that's been made of his neck -- frost-nipped skin, bruising, great big bloody scratches. He's made no effort to tend to his injuries yet. He has, however, taken time to make sure that his hair is completely perfect.

He scowls. ]

Tell me, did anyone else here get physically assaulted by their roommate the moment they opened their fucking door? Or was I the only one who got tossed in with a goddamn psychopath?

[ Cat paws at his neck and looks surprised to feel blood-- he pulls his hand away hastily, tries to wipe it off on the back of his other hand, snarling in irritation. ]

This is the exact reason why I don't... like... sharing.

[ He's barely finished spitting his last syllable before he turns the tablet off. Then he picks it up and flings it at the wall, shrieking, but thankfully that portion of his incredibly mature and reasonable fit doesn't make it onto the network. ]

[ Aw. Cat's very nearly touched by the concern. He decides to show that. ]

It's all right, I'm done with training for the day today, so I'm just relaxing a little at the apartment.

[ See, she's even getting comfortable, resting her device on her lap and leaning against the couch. ]

I have to admit, I'm amazed you're so calm after being attacked like that. You're not worried he'll come back?

I am. But as I said to someone else-- if he does, I've got an open window prepared this time. I'm only on the second floor. It's not a very long jump.

I guess this wasn't a very good introduction to the city for you though. [ She frowns a bit at that. ]

It's not always that bad.

Ah... I wouldn't worry about that, Ms. Lucy. Your kindness during our first meeting was more than enough to make up for this incident. [ He's totally overdoing it but pshaw, that's on purpose. ]

[ She eats it up anyway. Beaming fit to rival the sun, with a touch of a blush, embarrassed. ]

If you say so - but I'm glad that our meeting helped make up for the situation that happened. You must have met a lot of people by now though, huh?

Quite a few more, yes. Some of them unpleasant. As you've seen.

But I can't say that I'm surprised... you're always bound to get a few bad eggs, drawing in randoms like this. Especially when you're drawing in so many.

Hm, that's true. The more people you bring in from so many different places, the more diverse they get. But I think the good outweigh the bad, here.

If you're right, that will make Exsilium unique amongst every other place I've visited. [ Catsovi laughs. ] I'm sorry. I don't mean to be pessimistic.

It's all right. I mean, you have reason to be, after being attacked and all. Give it time, you'll see!
