Cat's sitting at a desk, elbow propped against its surface, his hand in his hair. The collar of his shirt has been pulled away to show the mess that's been made of his neck -- frost-nipped skin, bruising, great big bloody scratches. He's made no effort to tend to his injuries yet. He has, however, taken time to make sure that his hair is completely perfect.

He scowls. ]

Tell me, did anyone else here get physically assaulted by their roommate the moment they opened their fucking door? Or was I the only one who got tossed in with a goddamn psychopath?

[ Cat paws at his neck and looks surprised to feel blood-- he pulls his hand away hastily, tries to wipe it off on the back of his other hand, snarling in irritation. ]

This is the exact reason why I don't... like... sharing.

[ He's barely finished spitting his last syllable before he turns the tablet off. Then he picks it up and flings it at the wall, shrieking, but thankfully that portion of his incredibly mature and reasonable fit doesn't make it onto the network. ]

[Holy hell. Adrasteius observes the injuries with alarm and speaks quickly into the tablet--he's less concerned with what happened and more with the fact that the wounds obviously need attention.]

Are you still in your room? What's the number?

[ Cat's picked the tablet back up and recomposed himself. No more shrieking. Neck is still a gross mess. Hair still looks amazing. Okay, he's ready to roll.

He returns the tablet and himself to the desk, resuming the exact same pose he'd held before he had his screeching fit. ]

Ooh, yes, Mr. Clinician. Please come quickly, I am bleeding to death and slowly losing consciousness. Room 201.

Voice

[ Have a nervous, frighten little Syllona voice, Cat. ]

Are they gone? The person who did this, I mean.

[bloodspeaker]

[He scowls and rolls his eyes.]

Shut the fuck up. I'll be right there.

[and, indeed, he arrives momentarily, soon knocking on the door.]

[ Aww, listen to that voice. So nervous. So sad. ]

Oh, yes, he's gone. But I'm terribly afraid that soon, he'll come back to finish the job.

[ Cat doesn't sound afraid. ]

[ Cat is currently sprawled out face-up on his bed, one arm flung dramatically over his eyes. He waves a hand at the door and raises his voice to make himself heard through it. ]

Adrasteius? Come in, quick. Everything feels so cold.

[ Cat's back at the desk as if he'd never thrown a tantrum at all. But his expression is solemn now. ]

I'm a healer, and I don't usually say this. I don't know if I've ever said this — but I think you deserved it. You're lucky he left you in a shape to complain.

[Adra stares at these dramatics with distaste. He balances awkwardly on the edge of the bed, his frown deepening with each passing moment.]

[ Literally all she cares about, bro, she's sitting at her desk with her elbows on it and her hands folded neatly and there is something very stone like and cold about her face. ]

[ SHOCK AND SURPRISE ON THIS FACE. Cat doesn't reply until after a lengthy pause. ]

I... suppose I am. [ He sounds humbled. He frowns, scratches the back of his head, looks off to the side. Guilty, guilty, guilty. ]

[ What a bunch of broken records this lot is. Cat shows up on his end of the connection almost mirroring Ros' pose, though his head's cocked and he looks a great deal more irritated. ]

He's dead.

[ Cat rolls his eyes. ]

[ Cat doesn't budge an inch, except to smile. ]

[ Cat just continues looking extremely guilty. ]

I had a very bad time of it arriving here. I wasn't in my right mind.

[Groaning, Adrasteius stands up and over Catsovi, leaning down enough to place his warm fingers gently against Catsovi's frostbitten neck. Healing light soon coats the wounds, soothing them, urging the skin to mend and revitalize itself.]

You're overdoing it a little, I think.

[ Oh, good, Ashraf let up before Catsovi had to pull out the puppy eyes. ]

No. And for the record, I haven't seen Bariyan in a while, now -- not back home, certainly not here. [ He sighs. ] And last time I did see him, he parted my company in one, healthy piece. As healthy as his sort gets, anyway.

Then what inspired your impersonation?

[scornful]

[ Cat lets his hand slide away from his eyes when he starts to feel the soothe of healing. He tilts his head back, sighs, sounding more exasperated than relieved. ]

Criticism noted. I will take pains to improve upon my performance in the future.

[ Somewhat less facetiously, he adds: ]

I haven't the foggiest clue where Bariyan is. Any impression I may have given to the contrary was a complete and utter lie.
