( oz has spent some time practicing, so when the video feed comes on, it's steady and propped up to give a good view of him in the living room of his apartment. he shoots the camera a grin before holding up a helmet that may seem familiar to some people. )

Hello, everyone! You won't believe what I found today. ( a meow can be heard off-screen, and he corrects himself - ) Or more correctly, Li Jun did. Something like this must belong to someone, right?

( he hefts it up closer to the camera so that viewers on the network can get a better view. it's probably clear he basically thinks it's one of the coolest things ever. a real helmet like what a real knight would have!! maybe even what one of his favorite fictional knights would wear while doing something gallant.

it would probably be rude to put it on his head. which is what he does a moment later, cheerfully, because look okay how many chances like this does one get!! the network gets a wave before he takes it off and adds, )

( he's in luck! lenalee was last seen holding the cat, and the wagon's off somewhere. meanwhile, oz moves to take a seat as he talks. )

Yes! It was only on the third floor, so it wasn't far to go.

[Thaaaank goodness. Gilbert sighs and moves to Oz's side to fill his teacup.]

Did you figure out who took it from him to begin with?

( frowns just a little at the strangeness of the story he'd got )

He said he left it outside. I guess that's how the cat got into it.

[He didn't even get the whole story, but just from that he agrees that it's a little strange.]

[Curious. Gil is still frowning when he walks across to the other side of the table and sits down, hesitating before pouring himself a cup.]

( he takes a sip of the tea and helps himself to a few cookies, piling them on a plate. )

There are all kinds of people here. ( by way of answer ) And a lot of them come from circumstances I could never have thought possible.

( oddly, he's reminded of ahiru. lucky she wasn't here to see how bad things got in the last battle, really. )

[Worlds with names that made no sense, with technology centuries more advanced than anything that they're familiar with. And some people who come from even simpler times than the ones that they know. It's still overwhelming if he lets himself get wrapped up thinking about it.

[Pouring that cup for himself now. Should have made coffee too, he laments.]

They are! ( caesar's kept to himself even more than usual, with a mood not very unlike oz's own lately, and lenalee's been upset since both the battle and the new arrivals ) Everything's fine.

[He's smiling in that way that lets Gil know that some part of that is a lie, but that it's not bad enough to warrant further questioning. He sighs and places his cup down on the saucer. Fine, they can start with something else instead.]

Break's come down with a cold. I'm not even sure how long he's been keeping it from me...

[Though from the sound of it he wasn't aware of it entirely himself.]

( wouldn't be alarmed normally, not for a cold, and might remark how funny it is to think of break of all people coming down with one; but after recent events... )

[He idly turns to look over at the cupboard. There might not be enough sugar in the whole kitchen for this to happen.]
