[Believe it or not, even ethereal elves get stressed. Working in the clinic almost nonstop since the battle has taken a toll on Galadriel and, even worse, Celebrían had been affected. Most seriously affected. It had only reinforced the fact that, however she might try, Galadriel could not protect her daughter as she wished to. Not unless she were to lock her in a tower and- well, Thingol’s example wasn’t something she wanted follow here.

Frustration, anger, and a deep seated feeling of guilt and failure fuel her lately. She’s aware that’s not exactly healthy, though, so she’s taking some time to herself- and what better way to sooth her soul than to do some gardening?

It’s nothing major, just a little empty lot near the holds that she’s taken charge of- and for the moment, it’s nothing more than a few vegetables and herbs here and there. Mostly what she’s been able to scrounge up in the marketplace or useful things that she’s found growing wild in the city. But it feels good to have some connection to nature, to surround herself with growing things again. And, of course, having Nenya with her means that the garden has a little boost. You can feel it, really- it’s a feeling of safety, of comfort, and of life. It’s not obvious magic, at least not to anyone who isn’t familiar to that sort of thing, but it’s there.]

I have my ways. [A mysterious little smile goes along with the non-answer. Enjoy that, Dagger.] A pleasure, Dagger. [What a strange name! But she's far too polite to ask.] Have you been here long?

[Whoa...okay that's mysterious. She wonders if this person is some sort of spirit or great wizard or something. She's definitely too pretty to be a normal person]

Five months now. And yourself?

It has been nine months by the most common calender, I believe. [Seriously, conversions everywhere. Thankfully, she's used to switching over to the common, but really.]

Nine months...

[it's so hard to believe. Even five months was weird to think about, when she bothered to]

Do you miss your world?

I miss it a great deal. [And she worries for it even more. But it's not something she particularly wants to share with a near stranger, so she doesn't dwell long on the thought.]

Though I daresay there are few here who would not say the same.

No, that's probably true.

[She rubs her arms a little, thinking about her own world. this was to help protect it right? But she still frets about what's going on back home. She still had to find Kuja, had to stop him - before she could truly go home and back to how things were]

What's the longest anyone has stayed here? Do you know?

I do not. [It wasn't something she had considered, actually.] I wonder if there is a way to know, short of asking all the transports present. The Initiative might have records, but I cannot imagine that they would be eager to share them.

[She frowns, it does make sense. But she had never thought of it before]

I could still try. I'd like to see what they are keeping track of with us.

[That's what Galadriel is here for, to be mildly paranoid about this sort of thing.] It would be advantageous to know, certainly.
