[Believe it or not, even ethereal elves get stressed. Working in the clinic almost nonstop since the battle has taken a toll on Galadriel and, even worse, Celebrían had been affected. Most seriously affected. It had only reinforced the fact that, however she might try, Galadriel could not protect her daughter as she wished to. Not unless she were to lock her in a tower and- well, Thingol’s example wasn’t something she wanted follow here.

Frustration, anger, and a deep seated feeling of guilt and failure fuel her lately. She’s aware that’s not exactly healthy, though, so she’s taking some time to herself- and what better way to sooth her soul than to do some gardening?

It’s nothing major, just a little empty lot near the holds that she’s taken charge of- and for the moment, it’s nothing more than a few vegetables and herbs here and there. Mostly what she’s been able to scrounge up in the marketplace or useful things that she’s found growing wild in the city. But it feels good to have some connection to nature, to surround herself with growing things again. And, of course, having Nenya with her means that the garden has a little boost. You can feel it, really- it’s a feeling of safety, of comfort, and of life. It’s not obvious magic, at least not to anyone who isn’t familiar to that sort of thing, but it’s there.]

[It's possible Sonic could feel the tug and pull of that magic in a dull instinctual sense; he's certainly closer to his critterlike roots than most of the people in Exsilium. Or, maybe he's just attracted to the novelty of actually seeing something growing for a change. In any case, once he discovered the garden he'd stopped by occasionally, shuffling thorough it, peering at the plants, and wondering just who is doing all this...?]

[On the stop when he does happen upon the Lady, he's happy to see her, and maybe a little surprised.]

Oh hi, Galadriel!

[Not one for titles or elaborate salutations, this one. He waves from his perch on a bit of broken wall along the corner.]

[She glances up at him with a soft smile. Whatever she's actually feeling, she's not going to share it with near strangers.]

[He hops down to her level--below it, actually, since she's so tall.]

I didn't know you could do this! I've been tryin' to figure out how to make this place greener myself for a LONG time... Guess I didn't think about the direct approach! [He adds with a shrug.]

I would wager most could garden, should they wish to. It is not so easy here, of course, but neither is it impossible. [She smiles a little] I have been meaning to make the attempt for some time, in truth.

I tried to work out some missions to maybe stop the planet from gettin' this bad in the first place. Y'know, so it'd be easier? But it, uh... didn't work.

[Judging by the way he shuffles in place, it didn't work spectacularly, too.]

[A slight frown crosses her face.] These missions of the Initiative trouble me still. What has been has been. What will be will be. It seems unwise to meddle with such things when a single misstep may cause such disaster.

Yeah, I know what you mean by that. Now, anyway...

[His ears were drooping, but he perks them back up as he tries to put on a smile again. It looks more hopeful than sincere.]

But... you know, we're able to change things for the better as well! That's the point of it, right? It's just trickier than I thought.

Psh, you're not old! [Sonic, she's probably older than your entire SPECIES.] But yer right, I wanted to know if you needed some help with this! Like... finding certain plants n' stuff. That'd be a piece of cake for someone with my speed!

I am older than you think, I'm sure. [And this seems to amuse her, for some reason] I will not turn away any help that is offered. I have nothing specific in mind at the moment, however.
