( For once, Remy might actually be in his apartment. He's sitting on his bed, not in coat or costume but a simple cotton shirt, sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He's got a roll of cloth bandages, and is wrapping his hands methodologically. )
Y'all really know how ta discuss, you know that? I'm very impressed.
( He's not, actually. He thinks the talking around such matters is a waste of time, and also a way to show the Initiative their hand. But he doesn't say so. )
But I have ta say, all this bleak talk ain't really for me. Can't keep at it for very long. Désolé.
So, for those of you who care ta lighten the mood, here's a game. First player--that'd be me, I like ta deal--gives you a word. You say the first thing that comes ta your mind, after that. An' y'keep goin', over an' over, until someone cracks an' has ta ask the reasonin' behind your answer.
Whether y'tell 'em is up ta you.
( He laughs, to himself. )
It's an option, anyways. If you don't wantta keep talkin' 'bout how unhappy y'all are.
( ooc / idk if this'll come up but if you want to threadjack and play with each other, i'm totally cool with that. )

[ And because she can't hep herself she adds. ]
Do you always do this sort of thing, when people are being especially gloomy?
no subject
( He pauses, then shrugs. )
Maybe not as a rule. But it helps, non?
no subject
[ Another smile, resting her cheek on her hand. ]
I'm not complaining. I'm sure there are a lot of people that appreciate the chance to take their mind off of .. unpleasant things. At least for a little while. Of course there are probably people who don't think the same way - but dwelling too much isn't healthy.
no subject
( That answer comes much quicker, than the others. )
Sometimes not dwellin' is just as bad, but it's as much a' drag. Denial takes longer ta kill you, anyway.
no subject
[ Oh wait... money! She means money! ]
It's hard to find a proper balance between the two, I guess. But that's not really a proper topic to talk about either - we're supposed to be talking about non-gloomy things, after all!
[ Oops :3 ]
no subject
Too true, that. Guess we'd better focus on the game.
no subject
[ Phew, away from heartsy topics. ]
Well there's no harm in talking - just not something that could be counted as a morbid topic, or something.
no subject
( A person, for him, not a word. But it still counts. )
What would you consider not-morbid, then?
no subject
[ That's... probably an odd choice for 'Storm', but in a way, the guild /was/ a storm. A storm of action and emotion, depending on the situation. ]
Well - things like... like what you do while you're in this place. Stories about adventures, or of day to day life. [ That's safe and easy right? ]
no subject
I dunno if I can discuss all that, publicly.
no subject
[ A pause at the latter, puzzled. ]
You can't? Why not?
no subject
( He chuckles. )
'Cause I don't like playin' by the rules, I guess. Some people are sensitive ta that.

"Missions." [ She muses after a moment. ]
Oh really? That sounds pretty familiar. I have a friend that can be pretty reckless too.
no subject
It's an interestin' way ta live. I prefer it, though.
no subject
I think I can understand why people would prefer to live outside the rules like that. Depending on what you need to do having to follow the strictest of guidelines is a little..restrictive and stifling.
[ Even Lucy would break the rules for the sake of her friends. ]
no subject
An' just plain annoyin', most a' the time.
no subject
[ She had to wonder if Rogue was a person though- well it would make the most sense, right? ]
Heh, most of the time. 'Rules are made to be broken' or something like that, right?
no subject
"Ruthless."
More like, rules are instructions for what not ta do.
no subject
"Minerva."
You don't think there are some situations where it's a good thing for rules to be in place?
no subject
Eh, maybe. Never say never, an' all that.
no subject
I used to think that it was better to have rules in place- but it depends on the situation. Even with rules, someone can abuse them and things can turn out badly - like if you destroy a town by accident.
[ Cough. Not... that she'd know anything about that. ]
no subject
"Frost."
Guess it d'pends on whether the rules are any good. In me 'xperience, they usually aren't.
no subject
"Winter."
That's rough. Do you have corrupt rulers where you're from?
no subject
Nah, they're just kinda borin'. Predictable.
