Y'all really know how ta discuss, you know that? I'm very impressed.

_{( He's not, actually. He thinks the talking around such matters is a waste of time, and also a way to show the Initiative their hand. But he doesn't say so. )}

But I have ta say, all this bleak talk ain't really for me. Can't keep at it for very long. Désolé.

So, for those of you who care ta lighten the mood, here's a game. First player--that'd be me, I like ta deal--gives you a word. You say the first thing that comes ta your mind, after that. An' y'keep goin', over an' over, until someone cracks an' has ta ask the reasonin' behind your answer.

Whether y'tell 'em is up ta you.

[ That's... probably an odd choice for 'Storm', but in a way, the guild /was/ a storm. A storm of action and emotion, depending on the situation. ]

Well - things like... like what you do while you're in this place. Stories about adventures, or of day to day life. [ That's safe and easy right? ]

[ A pause at the latter, puzzled. ]

_{( He chuckles. )}

'Cause I don't like playin' by the rules, I guess. Some people are sensitive ta that.

[ Challenge? Really? She pauses for a few minutes, wondering why he picked that word. ]


"Missions." [ She muses after a moment. ]

Oh really? That sounds pretty familiar. I have a friend that can be pretty reckless too.

"Apartment."

It's an interestin' way ta live. I prefer it, though.

I think I can understand why people would prefer to live outside the rules like that. Depending on what you need to do having to follow the strictest of guidelines is a little..restrictive and stifling.

[ Even Lucy would break the rules for the sake of her friends. ]

"...Rogue." _{( He hesitates, just a moment. But then again, the game's not fun if you don't play it fair. )}

An' just plain annoyin', most a' the time.

[ She had to wonder if Rogue was a person though- well it would make the most sense, right? ]

Heh, most of the time. 'Rules are made to be broken' or something like that, right?

_{( He kind of starts, at that, and the bandage in his hand sparks before he manages to control it. Still, he makes a smooth enough recovery. )}

More like, rules are instructions for what not ta do.

You don't think there are some situations where it's a good thing for rules to be in place?

Eh, maybe. Never say never, an' all that.

I used to think that it was better to have rules in place- but it depends on the situation. Even with rules, someone can abuse them and things can turn out badly - like if you destroy a town by accident.

[ Cough. Not... that she'd know anything about that. ]

"Frost."

Guess it d'pends on whether the rules are any good. In me 'xperience, they usually aren't.

[ A pause - Frost? What an odd connection. ]

That's rough. Do you have corrupt rulers where you're from?

Nah, they're just kinda borin'. Predictable.

Isn't predictable better than corrupt?

You can be both, though.

An' I dunno what a "juvia" is. So maybe that's your point, mam'selle.

[ Hm... Well actually she supposes that's true!

I guess I didn't think about it like that. Ah - Juvia is one of my guildmates here. She's a water mage, but she reminds me of the rain.

Nothing is impossible, it's true. [ She learned that since joining that guild. She chuckles all the same, nodding at the question. ]

Yeah - different types of magic though. Juvia does water magic, and Natsu has Fire Dragonslayer magic. I'm use Celestial Spirit magic.

I can guess at the first two, but y'lost me with the spirits.

Um - well, I might be called a summoner where you're from. Celestial spirits are magical beings that I summon from the Spirit World, to help me in battle. Or outside of battle.
