6th Mistake; a delicious mistake

Um, does anyone want cookies? I made cookies.

[Around this time you may notice that pretty much every inch of the kitchen counter is covered with foil-wrapped paper plates.]

I made a few dozen.

And a pie. Maybe two pies.

Baking is how I vent stress sometimes, I guess, um...

I guarantee these cookies will make everyone feel a bit better! So let me know if you'd like a plate, I can drop it off with you. I'll probably be leaving some at the clinic too.

More or less! The cookies should make people happier, if only for a brief while.

What happens after? Are they going to feel really sad?

No, the mood of the subject should generally be improved. Like if you eat a piece of chocolate, the enzymes or whatever make you happy for a bit, but it doesn't mean you crash and feel bad later! It's like that only not with enzymes. And a little stronger reaction.

I mean, sooner or later they'll probably be sad. We were all just forced to participate in a war and kill people, and yet we weren't able to save any civilians. [A wince.] I can't fix that. That's just how it is. But I can take people's mind off it for awhile.
