003 ↔ joint post; video
[The feed clicks on to reveal the following: Saul Goodman, seated oh-so-casually atop a salvaged wooden desk in an office that looks a lot like every other office in the Hold. His hands are folded in front of him, he's bent slightly forward in an invitational sort of posture, and he's smiling. The only thing weird about this picture is the fact that he's seated abnormally off-center, almost like there should be someone next to him.
But there isn't.]
Good evening, Exsilium. I'm Saul Goodman, and this —
[He looks to his side.
Frowns.]
Excuse me.
[Saul disappears from view, mumbling something along the lines of "this is why we shouldn't have done it live," then begins speaking to whoever it is that's hiding off-camera. The conversation, though hushed, is almost fully audible: it's Medusa he's speaking with, and she does not sound happy.]
We discussed this! You're supposed to be there with me! It's important that they see you. You're the director.
We discussed announcing the existence of this office to the population, not staging a performance.
[ There's a very distinct sound that, if anyone knows anything about Medusa, can probably be attributed to the movement of a very large amount of hair. ]
If you are incapable of approaching this professionally, Mister Goodman, then perhaps I should do the entire announcement myself.
Yeah? You think that's — okay, sure. Fine. Be my guest.
[He ducks back into the camera's view and extends his arms in a properly theatrical, introductory gesture.]
Citizens of Exsilium, I give you the director of your brand new Department of Initiative-Transport Relations, her royal highness, Queen Medusa.
[ Medusa moves into screen - hair filling out the rest of the space that she doesn't occupy like usual. ]
DITR exists to serve as a bridge between the transport population and the Initiative itself; we are here to provide information and encourage the growth of trust between the two by creating further transparency on all levels. Saul Goodman, Susan Storm, Alice Roscha, Tintin, Feferi Peixes, and myself have dedicated our time to ensure this venture succeeds.
[Saul straightens his suit as Medusa speaks, then nods his head toward the camera with a smile so tight it's almost a smirk.]
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us via your tablets or visit us at our office in the Hold. Thank you for your time.
[End transmission.]

( ACTION; )
She's about to shut him down before he can get started when there's a flash of light, a small popping sound, and Lockjaw appears in the room. And wastes no time bounding over to Medusa, stumpy tail wagging excitedly. ]

Saul backs up, nearly falls over his desk, then promptly realizes his desk is sturdy and probably good to hide behind because what. WHAT.
So he's just going to go ahead and clamber back there.]
WHY IS THERE A GIANT DOG IN HERE?
no subject
Because Lockjaw is my dog, although I believe he listens to my sister more than I.

Also, this response is a little late.
Thanks to giant teleporting dogs.]
Sure is. You gonna come by for a tour?

[He blinks at the feed speculatively for a while.]
Someone, uh. Someone I knew back home was Medusa. I don't think you guys have anything in common, hopefully.

[ It's only her alternate universe counterparts that actually have snakes for hair, it's just prehensile in her case. ]

[He clucks his tongue.]
The Medusa I know is kind of a monster without a human heart who sort of kind of feeds on despair? So I'm pretty sure you're good when it comes to that. Plus you don't look anything like her.

[and then something occurs to him, and he scowls]
Wait, you mean to tell me there wasn't anything like this until recently?!

But this time, he hesitates. No more badmouthing the Initiative.
In lieu of the big shrug, Artie will see only the slightest rising and falling of Saul's shoulders.]
It's been a matter of prioritizing. I'd imagine the whole "war" thing came first.

.... Which doesn't quite say "revolutionary organization" to me but hey, semantics, right? [nervous laughter. he just realized he may not have said the best thing there. oops.]
Um. I'm new.
