[ She was bored. So very bored. She wasn't training, because that's what they wanted from her, and the last thing Merida wanted to do was satisfy the people who wanted her to fight for them. She wouldn't do it. She wouldn't! And that was the end of it.

However, this didn't leave her with much to do. She wandered the city, even explored a bit of the Outlands, but she didn't go far. She was daring, but she wasn't stupid. She knew this world was dangerous, and she didn't want to lose her head without a good reason.

So she finally takes the painstaking time to learn to use the strange device she had been given upon her arrival. It took her plenty of attempts to get it working properly, and even when she does, there are several segments of very brief footage of the redheaded princess growling at her tablet in frustration. ]

Oi, is it working now? About time. [ She clears her throat. ] I want someone to tell me more about the land outside this city. [ It was much too crowded, too cluttered here. She wanted a freer space. ] A good place to explore, t'actually, you know, move around - that's what I'm lookin' for. How do you even stand it in this city?

[ She taps her chin. ] An' while you're at it, tell me what you do around here t'keep busy. I'm goin' out of m'mind.

Just about anywhere, really! They're all over the place, if it looks like nobody is living there, it's probably true. The bigger, the better!

Anythin' good in them? Treasures? Ghosts?

Ghosts sometimes! Treasures, not yet, but that doesn't mean you couldn't be the first to find some!

[ Ghosts are neat. Treasure is better. ]

That sounds like a challenge, then. I'll give it a go.

Okay! If you want some company, I'll go with you, even.

Yeah? Not just tryin' to get a share of the treasure, are you?

What would I need your treasure for? I already have some!

[ She scoffs. ] You know, now? Where'd you find it?

I brought it with me! From home. I can't remember where I got it all, but some of it I just inherited from the Empress before me, and some of it was given to me, and I treasure all of it!

[ It's not the same kind of treasure and she knows that, but all the same, she has enough useless shiny baubles. ]

[ Tch, what a gyp. All Merida got from home was her bow and her dress.

Though, her bow was worth more than treasure, she liked to think. ]

Can I see it?

Sure! But it's not much to look at, some of it broke a long time ago in an accident, but it's still shiny, and it could probably be put back together. Still if you want to, I am usually around in the afternoons and weekends.

[ How do you break treasure? Eh, maybe it was a crown or something. ]

I don't exactly have much planned. Tomorrow afternoon, then?

Alright! Where do you want to meet? Do you live in the housing building?

Aye. I could find your room, or meet you at the front.

I'll meet you! I live outside the housing building myself, but it's easy to get there.
