Hello there! I'm planning to make an expedition into the outlands this month and do some rudimentary mapping of the area. If you'd like to join me or have been exploring the area before and would be willing to act as an experienced set of hands during the trip, I'm happy to have you along. Please just make sure to be properly equipped with survival gear and the like. Depending on how much time it takes for everyone to get their kit sorted, I'd like to head out on the 10th and return on the 13th -- Initiative missions permitting, of course.

For anyone who's been to the outlands: have you any suggestions or tips for the rest of us? I hear it's largely empty wasteland, but it never hurts to be prepared for this sort of thing.

The outlands huh? I haven't been too far out there myself, but if you have room for a couple more, I'd like to join you. [ And there was a good chance Natsu would go with her, because he is protective like that. And Juvia because nakama. ]

Excellent! Glad to have the company. However I really must insist that you be prepared for a trip like this; have you ever been on an expedition like this one? Do you know how to pack properly and have you a weapon for defense of the camp? The wildlife can apparently be a bit aggressive.

Not particularly, no. I've been in the wild before and have some experience with backpacking and that sort of thing. How different could it be?

Well I feel safer already! [It sounds like it's a good thing he's coming along. Humans, they were always a good source of amusement.] Have you got many accompanying you?

Not too many just yet, but I'm hoping we'll have at least five or six. That seems like a nice solid number for this sort of thing.

Mm that would be quite the group for such a dangerous adventure.

Yes, you don't have to worry about that. I'm from a magic guild, and so are my friends, if they want to come along with me. We've been in dangerous situations before. [ Probably even more dangerous than the wastelands in some cases. ]

Well, I didn't see anything interesting out there, but I'd take some healing juice or like some medicines if you got any, cos I got a touch of radiation when I hung out there.

Have you been out in the wastelands before then? You seem fairly aware of the danger - if you don't mind me saying so.

[Tintin nods - if she says she can handle it, then who is he to question it?] I don't know anything about magic guilds, but if you say so. I'd recommend packing provisions; I'm not sure how much of the local fauna is considered edible.

Oh dear, I hadn't considered that possibility. I'll have to look into that. Perhaps someone at the clinic will have something... [There he goes thinking out loud.]

I have been out once or twice to stretch my legs~ [All four of tem.] but I've been in the company of many powerful beings and creatures long before arriving here, so you've nothing to fear. [When you eventually discover that he's actually as blind as a bat.]

You don't have anything like that where you're from? [ She hms, nodding. ] Provisions I can handle - I'll see if I can bring enough for whoever else is coming too, if you like. Assuming the group isn't impossibly huge that is.

Be careful. If you spend too long out there, you can get some serious radiation sickness. An old acquaintance of mine...he's gone now, but he became really ill staying out there for a few days.

[Tintin nods along slowly.] It's dangerous where you're from then? That seems to be the case for quite a number of people here, oddly enough.

Nothing at all. As far as I know, magic isn't real in my world. There are stage magicians, but-- I mean, there's certainly some sciences that seem to mimic what some people here deem to be 'magic' but it's not really the same, I don't think.

As for provisions, it's probably more fair to have everyone responsible for their own. Though I suppose having a surplus to fall back on wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing!

Someone mentioned as much. I was thinking the clinic might carry some sort of anti-radiation pill or something we might take along with us? I don't anticipate too much trouble if we're just planning a few days, but I suppose it doesn't hurt to be prepared now does it?

Not very, no. It just depends on how much you enjoy getting yourself into trouble. The Earth I come from is without war, and far more peaceful than this version.
