This is...the longest I've ever really been away from home.

[He sounds depressed about it, but then he hurriedly adds; ] And I'll be fine, I just -

I just...miss home.

[A pause, like maybe he shouldn't even say what he was planning to.]

...so...is there anything that - anyone can suggest I do...or...something?

You mean...places here? Well - it's so dreary around here. I usually like rain, but...not...constantly. And I could visit friends, but I'm not really close with a lot of people here...

[He is very sad and lonely so lonely. So sad. He appreciates her help, though.]

...I guess I could take up whittling again. That doesn't take much but wood. I wonder if there...is spare wood around here.

That's right. There has to be somewhere you like to go and visit. Just recently I found a bookstore and enjoy taking a peek there every so often. Even if this place is dreary, there will always be undiscovered places to explore. [A nervous laugh at that thought. However, his confession over having not many friends catches her attention.] Well, if you don't mind, I could be someone you can visit at any time. My name is Nanami Momozono. What's your name?

[And at the mention of his hobby, she will quickly add.]

Why don't we go take look at one point? I'm sure we will be able to find some. [Well, she hasn't seen many trees, but she hasn't gone exploring neither. Too soon to tell.] ...I mean, there has to be some...somewhere in this world.

[Yay new friends c: Also yay books?] I've been to the library a lot, but where's the bookstore? I like to read stuff. And I'm Med'an. [His voice warms a little. It's a small gesture, maybe, but he does appreciate the thought of it.]

That'd be nice - maybe I could...make something out of already-used wood. If it was still in good shape.

There is a bookstore close to the apartment complex. Just give me a moment, so I can send you the link to it. [Nanami will be sending Med'an the same link as Kanaya gave her over the the bookstore.] There! You can find the directions to the bookstore through there. Either way, if you ever want to go, let me know, so I can take you there. I love to read books as well. Romance novels are my favorite type of books to read.

[And as for his wish over finding wood, she will automatically make it her mission to search high and low for wood.] Okay. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for wood. If I do find any, you'll be the first to know! It would be nice to watch you whittle. I've never met anyone who had that sort of talent. How did you learn to whittle? Did someone teach you or did you learn it on your own?

[He makes a few "hrmm figuring out how to use this device" noises before getting the link. Technology is so useful!] Oh! That is really close. Cool. [And then, SUPER CASUALLY HE'S TOTALLY CASUAL HERE TOTALLY;] Really? I, uh, read romance novels, sometimes. [IT'S NOT ONE OF HIS FAVORITE GENRES OR ANYTHING OK. :D] It's nice to meet you, too. [slkdaf so nice! And he's never had someone really interested in the stuff he does. ] Oh - it's just a hobby, but it is pretty fun. My foster father showed me a little, and I read some books. And did a lot of experimenting.
