Say, to all you magic-users! I'm curious. How did you learn your art? I suppose this applies to anyone with an "unnatural" ability as well.

I have a puzzle for you, Exsilium. But that's not fun enough, is it? Let's make it a game! I'll pay the first three people who solve it 10✥... no, up to 50✥! The first one gets a special prize! Isn't that exciting? (⌒▽⌒)☆

Now, here is the situation! There are three houses. Each house needs electricity, gas, and water. The goal is to connect the houses to their utilities by drawing lines. It's easy, right? Very easy!

But there's a catch! None of the lines can intersect. But even with the handicap, it's a simple puzzle. I'm sure you can all crack it in no time!

No, it wasn't. They realised when a ball I was playing with started jumping out of my hands and shooting straight at people. It was soft enough not to hurt anyone, though!

Relief? Oh, right, you mentioned that some were born with magic and some weren't, didn't you?

Yes. When someone's born to magical parents but isn't magical themselves, they're called a Squib. In that case, because our worlds are separate, the Squib usually ends up living away from their relatives in the Muggle world.

It's a tough situation.

So it's all up to chance, huh? That's a cruel thing to do to your child for not fitting in. Mixing with, ah, 'Muggles' isn't a common thing?

Our worlds are kept separate for our safety. We can interact with each other superficially, but if they were to know of magic there'd be witch-burnings again.

Luckily it's not so dangerous here.

This world isn't as bad as it seemed! Everyone's rather accepting here, since we're all from different worlds. It's a real relief.

It is. I didn't like having to hide back then. At least I can befriend whoever I want now.

It's certainly one of the few benefits in living here! My friend and I, we're used to hiding too. Heh, compared to everyone here, we might be some of the more 'normal' ones!

We have powers too, though they aren't as impressive as your magic! Still... they made us stand out in a bad way. We were quite noticeable when we used them.

Yup! I'd even say that it wouldn't be anything abnormal if we were to use them here. I don't think you'd notice or even consider it strange.

Will you tell me what I wouldn't notice?

But where we came from, we didn't have wizards or magic or anything of that sort. So our constitutions scared quite a lot of people.

Here, most people would probably think it's interesting. Even beautiful.

Ah, compared to those flashier powers, ours aren't that impressive... certainly not at the level of 'beautiful!' But that might be a good thing.

But by the same token it's easier to take care of others, isn't it?

It's not that I'm powerful, I'm just...strange. And it was, a little. But most people know I'm not dangerous, so it's fine.
