Think I've basically got my bearings down around here pretty good. Just one big thing I haven't been able to find (Aside from white sand beaches, that is.).

Have we got a good firing range around here? I'm gonna get rusty without having Overwatch or the CPs hounding my ass constantly.

To be honest, I didn't think that was a possibility until you came here. I know exactly who you're talking about. [He sighs.] and believe me I would give anything for her to be here. I asked about her, looked for her... I looked for weeks, and then weeks turned into months. I started to believe Chloe--my roommate, you haven't met her--when she said we weren't ever seeing home again.

It wouldn't be the first time, if you know what I mean.

Someday you're going to have to sit down and tell me exactly what happened to you at Black Mesa.

I should actually mention Alyx to her. Just so she knows. I'd... sort of shoved it to the back of my mind after a while. Memories of home, nice and safe where no one can get to them. Even me.

Now that sounds like an excellent idea! Just a warning, the, uh common topping around here is anchovies. Pepperoni is sort of unheard of.

[He STILL hasn't gotten a straight answer about how the hell that came about.]

You get used to it after a while. They're not bad with tomatochokes, anyway.

Spliced fruit between a tomato and an artichoke. Looks weird as hell... Far as I figure, they started gene therapy on crops to get them to grow better, and then after that they started getting creative.

As for the anchovies... I GUESS they come from inland pools and farms? I'm not completely sure.

[He doesn't seem particularly worried about it either.]
