[She rolls off him, flopping down on the ground right next to him.]

[Equius sits up a little as soon as she moves off of him, his knees bending up, arms going to rest against them, body curled forward.]

Hm, yes I suppose the shower helped relieve me in some manner, and with extensive use of my robots I've been at peace more these last few days. [A huff, titling his head away from her a little.]

And of course with your assistance since your arrival. [Even with Vanadi for the most part, expunged from his life now, it was hard to dwell too much with Nepeta right there. Lowblood or not, even just her presence did wonders for him.]

[It really did make her happy to hear that. Equius deserved it after the troubling days he had had not too long ago. She leaned against him and smiled.]

You know I'm always happy to help--that I've been able to help. I'm glad that you've been feeling better.

[She still had her doubts about how suited she was to being Equius' moirail right now...but she wanted to do her best. She wasn't going to give up, and to hear that she'd been of help really touched her]

[His face is mostly hidden behind dripping black strands but- he's smiling when he feels her weight shift against his side.]

Yes, much better, still with some reservations about, my entire Vanadi conundrum, but I'm just not sure about that anymore. [A sigh, smile fading. He closes his eyes, focusing on the small amount of weight against him.]

I'm beginning to think such affectionate romance is something I'm not meant to experience... [Twice now it's fallen flat, he's sure, not that his heart doesn't still beat for both Aradia and Vanadi, he really needs to work on his attachment issues.]

Is...are you guys still trying to make it work or? [From the way he spoke it didn't seem like it and she supposed given what he had told her about Vanadi's reasons for trying to break up with him she shouldn't be too surprised. Still. She had been hoping it would work out for his sake.]

I'm not- exactly sure. I see him extremely often and as passionate as our encounters can be- they are incredibly compendious. [And if the glimpse of his face along with those words is at all readable, glasses on or not, it's a very obvious 'no'.]

Hey, if it didn't work out, I'm sad to hear that, but we're still way too young to be thinking that way. [Even if Nepeta had done the same thing at times]

Getting together, breaking up--that happens a lot and I'm pretty sure that applies to everyone. It's not many who get it right the first and in a way it helps us to figure out just what we want and need in a partner. There'll be others, Equius, who will see what they have in you.

Yes, you're right, here anyways. [He'll live out a long life here, perhaps, though once he's sent back to his time line he'll either be a doomed version ir die as he's supposed to... How nice.]

No, Equius. It wouldn't be. Because what you would have had with her wouldn't be love. You can't force someone to love you--at best you can make an empty illusion of it but. I don't think you would have been really happy with that, would you?

And they'll see what I see. A well intentioned, strong, and blow-your-mind smart troll with a sweet heart beneath [and she tickles his chest a little] that grumpy surface.

It would be love, I specifically programmed to be an intense infatuation with me, so extensive and raw, and passionate- [His lips curl, chest swelling a little as he rambles.] It wouldn't be an illusion because I made it that way, with my hands I created such deep emotions ah- [A deep breath, his teeth clenching. He finally quiets himself, calming down after feeling teeth grind against teeth and a huffed breath puff through his nostrils.]

Hmph. [Sits up a bit more, crossing his arms over his chest after her slight touch.] I'm not exactly sure why all of that is so very difficult for them to see either. How extravagant and STRONG I am is right there, dangit, if you just look at me. I shouldn't be at fault for their screwball skepticisms.

Love isn't the field of science. You can't manufacture love. It's not even the field of magic. Even if I had learned how to use my heart powers I wouldn't have been able to make some feel the real thing.

[She puts a hand to his shoulder to further try and soothe him]

Everyone seeks something different. They are all wonderful traits--we just need to the find the one who can appreciate them. It's a little more difficult for us trolls now, since there are so few up us and that inevitably brings up all the issues that come with dating outside of our species. But we'll find someone.

If programming a deep infatuation for me into someone is false, I'd rather it than continuing to ache for things I shouldn't like currently I do.

[His muscles relax a little from that touch, arms still crossed.]

Find them, but I've already found someone who should appreciate me. She's just too blind to see it, so thus, I have to try my hand at fixing that. [His brows furrow.] And Vanadi- [He's still not sure what to say about him. He stills- seems to want him in ways but- that's extremely different and he has no idea how to place words to those particular feelings besides-]

I can't give Vanadi the attention his flaws cause him to need. [Attention of many, many, many different people, but for some reason that just makes Vanadi even more sad.]

[It hurts to hear him talk like that.] It's hard, Equius, trust me I know. But the trials and wait are going to all be worth it in the end. Don't give up on finding the real thing, because you do not deserve any less that. Aradia...Vanadi. If they can't return your feelings in the way you want then it's not meant to be. Perhaps things might change in the future but that's not something to cling onto because it's a big maybe.

[She gives his shoulder a squeeze] Learn from these two experiences--both about what you want, and how to deal with having a relationship with another species, but don't let them hold you back.

[His brows furrow a little, looking at her for a long moment.]

[She blushes a little, looking down self-consciously, uncertain if that's a good or bad thing. She gives a small shrug]

[He stays quiet, pulling in a deep breath before he finally leans towards her a little, almost headbutting her but not quite, not wanting to accidentally push too hard.]
