Did I do this right...I think so...Ah! I got it!
Okay! So, I should find a way to keep myself busy that isn't training, right? So I can keep track of my progress and a general diary! It's better than sitting around staring at these geometric ceilings, anyway.
What should I talk about first... Roommates! I haven't met either yet, but hopefully I will soon. I did go crazy cleaning up the kitchen this morning, and tidying up the living room. I hope they're both okay and not people that are like...well, Dad won't approve of anyone probably. I would not be surprised if he wants to move into the same apartment sooner rather than later.
And before I forget: Dad is 606, Mr. Barnaby is 406.
Hm, what else... Oh! Kido is cool. She says her gang helps others with their abilities. [ She stops dictating to laugh at herself for a moment. ] "Hey Dad! I met this girl when I arrived the other day, and her gang can help me with my powers!! Cool, right?" No, more like he will have a heart attack if I mention the word "gang."
Speaking of abilities, I have to tell him I still have my NEXT powers, too. So that and I can generate ice! Which I haven't done yet. I put the boots on, but I was too hesitant to go and do it. [ A huff. ] Today I will! The lady said it would know when I need it, since it's..."sensiencer?" "Sentience?" [ There's a pause as her fingers fly across the keyboard. ] "Sentient." Got it.
Okay, I think that's enough for now.
[ video; ]
[ Anyone scrolling through the network will come across a video feed of this brunette preteen humming to herself as her eyes focus on the right side of the screen. After a moment, she sighs in frustration and rubs her face with both hands before speaking. ]
And I thought my teacher gave me a lot of homework. At least these people don't test us on all of this stuff.
......they don't, right? [ She huffs, muttering to herself. ] They better not. Anyway, is anyone else new to this world like I am?

Well, if he says it's okay...and it's not like she addressed him sans honorific... ]
All right, Nathan, no mister.
[voice]
Thanks. Makes me feel old, otherwise.
[Yes that was meant to be a joke]
[voice]
I thought as much, but I didn't want to be disrespectful.

Re: [voice]
[That gets a chuckle out of him]
'Seasoned' is a nice way of putting it. Your dad's a superhero?
[voice]
Re: [voice]
Huh. How do they pick one? [He's also sort of wondering who 'they' is, too....]
[voice]
Re: [voice]
Oh. Do they have actual powers, or is it just... television? [If he sounds vaguely confused it's because he's seen 21st century reality tv. IT IS CONFUSING.]

Re: [voice]
Good on him, then. I'm a little surprised nobody in my world has come up with an show like that - though most of the public is a little conflicted on people with powers.

Re: [voice]
Mmm... it's not so much a question of whether they're used to it. I suppose it's made the news often enough to not be a surprise. But a lot of them don't trust people with powers.
[voice]
[voice]
In part. And then some people just don't trust those who are different than them.
[voice]
[voice]
There's not too many of us. More now than they're used to be, but not many.

Re: [voice]
No, for the most part - reality warping magic. "No more mutants", and suddenly there are less than two hundred of us left. Nothing on the people who got their powers other ways, but they were always rarer.

One extremely powerful person.
[voice] lol i see we're breaking my greasemonkey script with this thread, A+
