Preferably someone who's been here for more than a few months, but any info beyond "it sucks" would be appreciated. I'm looking for names, dates, events, etc. Anything pertinent.

Kind of yes and no. I mean, the Initiatve is pretty small, yeah? Exsilium is decently large. Half a million people! Barely a percentage is part of the Initiative. Barely a percentage of that is us.

So, politically speaking, a small percentage has a real strong feeling of doing anything. Then there's the United Earth, where we got this cabinet member months back? Kidnapped him while the cabinet was here examining their handiwork after the massive blanket bombings. The UE, filled with people controlled by drugs and run by an AI? I dunno, talk about weird politics. And I never even had Government yet back home!

Check the tags! They update and clean out the records on this thing when we're in and out. There are names here that totally never posted to anything, but they come and go too, so I figure it's a record made as we come in the door.

Me and a few other Transports! Dick's in the Initiative's medical bay, ever since after the uh, mental exercises Charlie and 'Driel and Frosty walked him through.

So what I'm getting from this is that you're super cheerful about kidnapping a guy and possibly torturing him. "Mental exercises" = ?

Not torture. Literally, mentally exercising! His withdrawals were pretty bad even early on, so they had to help walk him through the mazes of his own head to make sense of anything he knew. They were seriously careful, Charlie and 'Driel wouldn't have it any other way!

You mean the daily injections to keep the population subjegated? They self administer. Totally part of their daily regime and culture, like some people brush their teeth and take their vitamins, they wake up and inject themselves and their kids.

Gets injected anyway, I mean, out of everyone and all the genetic enhancement stuff they do in the UE, most civilians don't have th estuff to overpower any docs sent in by the government. Military trained docs! I bet, that is, and that's kind of a thing... the withdrawls when you go off are terrible. People don't always survive.

I'm going to totally go with the not morbid answer and say I have friends who were sometimes and for a while also zombies but are all better now, and not because the zombie part was cured.

So say someone dies here. A bomb falls, poor Mr. J.Q. Public is blown to smithereens. How do they fix something like that?

They don't so much. If it's a Transport, they don't let us go. If you're native, like the Exiles? Unless messing around with history ends up preventing that bomb from dropping, you're dead and stay dead.

Okay, as long as someone else doesn't resurrect you or something, but outside of the zombie thing, I don't think that's ever happened.
