[Garnet is clearly trying to maintain her calm, but she has the excitement vibe that is clear of any person who really wants to talk about a new geeky thing.]
I finished Hamlet.

[As for the rest, will get a video of a young woman in what appears to be her room....a room that has a fair amount of books in it now]
Hello. My name is Dagger and I was wondering if anyone could give me any recommendations of books or plays to read. Even with my duties of training and the cafe, I keep finding myself with a lot of time on my hands. So I'd really like to know new stories to read.
My favorite genre is plays and dramas, such as Lord Avon's work- or William Shakespeare, who seems to be an Earth playwright with a similar style. Though I'd be open to other genres as well.
Thanks!

When you're a teenager, everything attracts, that's the problem!

Yeah, I hear that can be totally unnerving. Teenagers are like magnets for all kinds of trouble! How'd you ever survive your teenage years?

got some time Collette, we're going to be here a while. ]

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ah well, I suppose I'll just have to give Oz the good news himself.

SO MATURE )
Which good news is that?

Oh please! I'm sure he'll be enchanted to know! Might want to let his sister know she's expecting, too!

That's just the problem. Lady Ada's upbringing was very gentle. Very gentle indeed. I have no idea whether she knows what to expect, in any way at all.
[ No mother, absent father, and a doting uncle who would doubtless prefer to fall upon his sword rather than discuss birds and bees with his precious darling niece. Or so Break expects. He's an old man, he doesn't pry into such things! ]
There's a story about a dragon that has quite a lot of traction, in my country.
[ Sort of like the stork. But with fire.
He'd bet cake that Oscar told Ada the dragon story. ]

But there's the hard way to shake innocence, and there's the smart way. Personally, I'd leave the dragon stories for the littles. You aren't telling someone to go out and, you know, do it, just by telling them what to expect.
Telling other people to keep her in the dark when she's in a city that doesn't keep any of that in the dark? Now that's mean. Besides, better to explain what condoms are for before she ever wants to use one than wait until she comes back and asks why it is the guy was totally like, "But baby, it feels better without one!"

Except he is, technically speaking, now the younger brother. Also it's a fair bet Gilbert told Oz the dragon story as well. ]

I suppose...
Well! I suppose there have got to be some books on the subject. In this modern world.
[ Because there is NO WAY he is having this conversation. ]
i am so sorry asd
( Plus it's hilariously side-narrated by a bird and a bee, what's not to love? )
You could send her in to talk with... we don't really have female doctors around right now, do we? At the Transport Clinic, I mean, we do at the usual hospital.
weeping
Ah--
[ OR he could foist it off on a doctor. Yes, yes, that is the best option. Make someone else do it, yes what a relief! ]
That's a good idea~♥
I'll just--
[ URRRRGH! But how to even broach the subject? ]
she'd be sorry if she didn't think it was kind of funny seeing grown men squirm
( Come on, man, she knows you can do it! Or say it. Do and say it! )
Hey, you can totally handle this! I'll, uh. Bake you cookies if you do?
( Great, now she wants to break down into a giggle fit because this is ludicrious. But no. Pretend to be super serious, Collette, save someone some dignity! )
no subject
Eh?
[ Mentally, however... ]
Cookies?
[ Never underestimate the power of Break's sweet tooth. ]

( Plus some lessons in cookie dough eating with her mom, but that's different. )

I'll hold you to it!
