[Garnet is clearly trying to maintain her calm, but she has the excitement vibe that is clear of any person who really wants to talk about a new geeky thing.]

I finished Hamlet.

[As for the rest, will get a video of a young woman in what appears to be her room....a room that has a fair amount of books in it now]

Hello. My name is Dagger and I was wondering if anyone could give me any recommendations of books or plays to read. Even with my duties of training and the cafe, I keep finding myself with a lot of time on my hands. So I'd really like to know new stories to read.

My favorite genre is plays and dramas, such as Lord Avon's work- or William Shakespeare, who seems to be an Earth playwright with a similar style. Though I'd be open to other genres as well.

Thanks!

[ His teasing smile stays firmly in place; but his gaze softens, almost imperceptibly. ]

So people should learn to be like Mister Edgar, then?

No! People should definitely avoiding being like that scum Edgar!

[This is coming from a guy who knows he became like him, okay?]

[ Despite his issues with the Nightray family, it had given Break no joy to be right about Elliot. So perhaps it's not too surprising that Elliot's being alive - and querulous as ever - is one of the few bright spots in Break's existence here at Exsilium. ]

Why - the story of the faithful servant doesn't appeal to you?
nobleminded: (ostinato)

Faithful servant?! Edgar pushes all of his burdens onto those around him and hurts the ones who care about him while wishing for their happiness! I can't stand that kind of character!

[But note he doesn't mention the self-sacrifice aspect because...yeah, hypocrisy. If Elliot had a choice, he wouldn't have chosen to die, at least.]
maddeninghatter: (You want me to follow you?)

So...

[ With a studied sort of carelessness: ]

You think a person ought to shoulder his burdens entirely on his own?
nobleminded: (con spirito)

I'm saying that if he doesn't even realize his own problems, then they have to be carried by the people who care about him. If he realizes he has a burden and truly needs assistance with it that's a different matter!

[ Lightly: ]

Is there anything you are burdened with, Elliot?
nobleminded: (modesto)

Of course! And I know it's something I'm the only one who can deal with it right now!
