I don't really like doing that announcement thing, but since I'm her roommate... Snow White's gone home! Which is good, that means she's finally back with James, who's her total love at first sight wonderful husband and she has a daughter that maybe she'll get to see now so I'm happy for her. Right, and Al left too, but that was last month. Uh... a few others, but I don't really know the full list.
It makes me curious about something else, though. What do you guys do to show you remember and care about people who you'll probably never see again in this lifetime?

( She jokes, a quick smile on her ips, deliberately misunderstanding what Ellie means. )
You can never predict when someone goes or stays. At least here, it's not usually intentional.

( As subtle as usual. ) It sucks not to be able to say goodbye, though. There are so many things that you get stuck with knowing you didn't say.
( And she tilts her head in the direction she's guessing they need to go. ) Want to make tracks?

Yeah, the not saying goodbye really sucks. There's some things I'd have loved to do or say before then, but... I don't regret them, not exactly. I mean, there's all the stuff I did get to say first! That's important, too.
( She nods, hands on wheels and pushing lightly at first to get rolling. She's not set on making a race for this place -- she's not even been in a place of worship since her mom's services. It's never really seemed to matter. What God, if there was one, couldn't hear her where-ever she was? )
Speaking of tracks, that's something this place could use. A working rail system!

( Like with Corrie. She thought she'd said everything, that the goodbye had been enough, but it wasn't and hadn't been by a long shot. Corrie never knew that Ellie wouldn't ever be the same without her, or that sometimes Ellie was relieved that Corrie wasn't there to see what all of them were turning into. That was something she never could have told her, was it? That it was a relief, sometimes, that she was gone, as much as it broke Ellie's heart every time she thought of something she wanted to tell Corrie.
Her jaw sets, and follows Collette, not especially concerned with getting there fast, either. )
It'd be good. ( Absent minded. She's not too concerned about trains. ) Thanks for coming along.
