I don't really like doing that announcement thing, but since I'm her roommate... Snow White's gone home! Which is good, that means she's finally back with James, who's her total love at first sight wonderful husband and she has a daughter that maybe she'll get to see now so I'm happy for her. Right, and Al left too, but that was last month. Uh... a few others, but I don't really know the full list.

It makes me curious about something else, though. What do you guys do to show you remember and care about people who you'll probably never see again in this lifetime?

remembering's a lot easier than you think. i mean, details might get lost, but there's always things to remind you.

it helps if you have something of theirs. but just - don't just remember them, remember what was important to them, you know? try to honor it. make them proud, just like if they were still there.

Talking out of experience, too, Pete? That's a lot like what I -- well, it's for something different. When Mom died back home. It feels weird and different when these aren't all people where I'm sure I always know what would make them proud, or what was important to them. Or I do, in some cases, and doing some of what they do would... sort of change things? Not for the bad or anything! Change is generally good. I think I can do all the good parts. I'm no good at sitting back (ha-ha) so doing something with what I remember's the easier part. Picking what to do is a little harder!

but i get what you mean. it's more like people transferring schools here, doesn't seem so real or permanent. but i haven't even been here long, so haven't really seen much - i mean it's probably rough when you've been here a long time.

but i mean you're cool and a good person, right? so if you're just you that's probably what they'd want anyway. otherwise i'd go for pictures or something. does the city have a mural or anything?

Pictures I've got a few on but most of those I actually sent to -- well, I have those probably saved somewhere. Reminds me not to give up on that just 'cause my major viewing audience is AWOL! Mural? No, not really, though we've got some pretty cool grafitti I could show you if you wanted to see it.

yeah, pictures sound good. i mean i guess this is just like... camp, or school, or some other weird transient thing, just with more battles and weird transfers. pictures work for those, so.

and graffiti? really? are we talking banksy cool, or... ?

makes it sound like we should have some sort of yearbook. like a club! can you do that, do you think? uh I have no idea who banksy is but some of its pretty cool and others of it is just letters and abbreviations and crude drawings so you take it or leave it as it is?

can i start a yearbook club? i don't know about a club, but i've got a camera. i'm not really the yearbook guy though.

and banksy's a famous graffiti artist. actually he might've been post-you. i mean, timewise. i have no idea. and i don't think it's possible to have graffiti without some of it just being crude drawings and dumb messages, but there's usually some hidden gems, i guess.

meaning yes, yes i would like to see it sometime. maybe i can take some photographs for the not-yearbook.

hey, you're good with this photo thing i've been playing around on my own with the one on the tablet the last few months, i should get pointers from you! it's been a lot of fun overall. as for yearbook, sure, if you want! ( ooc: just hit me up with whatever you'd like to handwave as being done! )
