I don't really like doing that announcement thing, but since I'm her roommate... Snow White's gone home! Which is good, that means she's finally back with James, who's her total love at first sight wonderful husband and she has a daughter that maybe she'll get to see now so I'm happy for her. Right, and Al left too, but that was last month. Uh... a few others, but I don't really know the full list.

It makes me curious about something else, though. What do you guys do to show you remember and care about people who you'll probably never see again in this lifetime?

When you've finished writing all the stories, what then?

You're never finished writing stories! There'll always be more adventures in the future.

Ah, but see, that's where stories really don't have to end. They're not like reality.

Wouldn't that be like trying to fool yourself, though? It won't change the fact they're gone. I would feel strange writing future adventures that never happened.

Reading and writing are an escape. Besides, if it's for me, what's the harm? And who says I'm writing ones where I am, too? It could just be theirs. The ways things could be, in a nicer version of reality. How I hope things work out for them, where-ever they are.

You see, one of the tenets of our faith is that the Maker turned his back on all his children. We're still free to pray, mind, he just isn't listening.
