I don't really like doing that announcement thing, but since I'm her roommate... Snow White's gone home! Which is good, that means she's finally back with James, who's her total love at first sight wonderful husband and she has a daughter that maybe she'll get to see now so I'm happy for her. Right, and Al left too, but that was last month. Uh... a few others, but I don't really know the full list.

It makes me curious about something else, though. What do you guys do to show you remember and care about people who you'll probably never see again in this lifetime?

It's terrible to think about isn't it? When you don't hurt anymore thinking about them, it's just a new kind of pain.

Anyway, yes to both, I guess.

That's what they say it's like when you're grieving. Over the bigger stuff, not like, you know, this stuff doesn't have to be that big! But yeah, it hurts a lot, and it gets better, by which they mean it gets to be a different hurting. A whole lot less sharp!

I guess it's something to look forward to. Or watch for if nothing else.

It'll come. The real thing to look forward to are the people who stick around, and the wonderful new people we'll get a chance to meet. 'Cause it's not goodbye, it's just see you later. Some see you laters just happen to run longer than others!
