I don't really like doing that announcement thing, but since I'm her roommate... Snow White's gone home! Which is good, that means she's finally back with James, who's her total love at first sight wonderful husband and she has a daughter that maybe she'll get to see now so I'm happy for her. Right, and Al left too, but that was last month. Uh... a few others, but I don't really know the full list.

It makes me curious about something else, though. What do you guys do to show you remember and care about people who you'll probably never see again in this lifetime?

That sounds nice. I'm not any good with drawing, but I can probably think of a way to get something down in words. That's not strange? I usually do the whole "just remember" thing. This time, I felt like... I don't know, like something more or different might be nice. To help out and all.

No, it's not strange at all. Remembering is good and it is something we can always do, yet memory is only so good. They can fade with time... or death.

But records, they can last long after we die. [ Cough cough, ancient civilizations and the like. ]

To be honest, I understand how you're feeling. I rather do something that "just remember", for some reason that never really feels like enough to me.

Yeah, that's kind of what I'm thinking. It's like writing to my mom, after she was gone? Writing about the things I remembered. It was nice, you know? Because it was like I was telling her and me that "I remember this about you" and that felt better than just saying "I miss you."

Exactly. It feels like you're doing something with the memories, something more productive and satisfying.

Yeah, that's what it is. I don't know why that feels important, but it does.
