Say, if you're an alien, I have a question for you. What was your world like? Do you miss it? Please tell me about it if you feel like it. Did you get to fly a space ship? Was that fun? What kind of fun things did you do? Are humans weird? What's the weirdest thing about them? Do you like humans? Did you ever meet humans when you were an alien?

[Okay, that's a bunch of questions. But she doesn't self-correct.]

Also, does anyone here know how to do magic? And if you do, is it magic you can teach to anybody? I think it would be pretty neat to know how to do some magic, and it could come in handy sometime. If you do please let me know.

Some aliens answered! Mostly ones I knew, but some new ones. That's nice, it's interesting. As for magic, no luck... [Not that she was necessarily expecting any. A pause.]

That's good. And you've always got your weapon, right?

[ ... But that second part. A few weeks ago, her answer would have been very different — as it stands: ]

I've been okay, though. [ ha ha ] I still train a lot, but that festival was a nice change of pace. Did you go out in it?

Yeah. It's not as if I'm helpless. [She was just hoping to become more versatile.

Regardless:] Yeah. It was fun. The fireworks were really beautiful. It's nice to see people celebrating here.

It's a lot better than usual, that's for sure...

[ Miserable is a good word to describe things, normally. It's hard to stay positive in pouring rain and fog. ]

I wish it happened more often. It made me feel like we'd really accomplished something, you know?

Yeah... well, this war has been going on for a long time. It does seem like they haven't accomplished much, right?

Yeah.

[ The grumpy tone gives away her opinion on that. ]

I mean, don't get me wrong. I don't think it's their fault or anything, but... we could be doing way more. We're the only ones who can protect these people.

Yeah, you're probably right. The pace of missions is slow sometimes. I wouldn't mind doing more.
