I used to have dreams like this.

Well, not exactly like this, I mean. Nothing so specific. But you know how it goes, don't you? Girl dislikes her situation, the way her life is going, the way people treat her, wishes she were anywhere else but there. Then a strange thing occurs, and there's this whole other world that needs her, specifically her. This place sees her for who she is, sees her strengths and the change she wants, and it tells her that she's needed to save this other world. Protect it. She's the only one who can. Like a hero, a ruler, or something else. That part changes pretty easily, I think.

There's a lot of stories like that, too, of course. I don't think I'm the only one who's had a dream like that. We all have our little unhappinesses. And sometimes the new kingdom, she loves it so much she never wants to go home. Sometimes being there just makes her miss everything she left behind, and she does everything she can to go back.

Of course, when I say I used to have dreams like this, that would mean I woke up from them, too.

I suppose this is like that. In a way. It's been almost three weeks now, but I guess I'm still trying to get used to it, that's all.

What were your dreams? Did you have them? Or do you, still? Whatever they are, or were, I hope you keep in mind that you can't trust them. There's no Truth to dreams.

Yeah I suppose...
I never had a lot of friends before all this so it's been about as equally nice as strange or bad.
Things have gotten a lot better since the start anyway.

Was it very different when you first arrived?

Yes.
Very bad people were in charge.

How bad? And for that matter, what happened to them?

Poisoned the water supply with mind control stuff bad. :\
One of them got killed...Some things happened...

You mentioned friends, but what else do you like about it?

It's nice to see different places...I mean it's not always a disaster going in. There was a palace once that was neat.
And if poking around in time really does make people better here I guess that's something...I still have a hard time wrapping my head around it. :\

Someone mentioned that before. The time-travel stuff. Do you know when you've been?

Well there was the 1800s...and somewhere in old Roman times. I missed a couple.

It's so strange to think of something like that as possible. Even taking this whole situation into account.

Yeah...But I guess I shouldn't really be surprised!
It doesn't make it any more amazing when everything changes. Even coming back! Some things change...
That's kind of like a really dramatic spin on how everything changes anyway I guess...

How does that work, anyway? I mean, they're changing the past to give their cause a better chance in this present time, right?

I think that's the idea. They want to find ways to break down that UE government across the ocean that way since they can't here and now...

Won't that create a paradox?

I mean sometimes we come back and find things really different...

Well it was a lot emptier and dirtier before one mission...and now there's a big greenhouse place in the city...

That is strange. And the more I think about it, the stranger this whole situation becomes.

How can they expect their world to be stable if they do this? I don't understand how this is supposed to work at all, in the long term.

I can't answer a lot of that. But from what I've seen and can tell...I think there's a lot of the sense that anything is better than what's going on now.
There might be some guys who get the whole time travel thing a whole lot better though. Sorry, it's pretty over my head :\
