[ Several hours after Erza's post goes out to the public, another is made, this one from Lucy's device. Only it's not Lucy that's making the post, but a blue eyed, pink haired girl dressed in a French maid uniform. ]

I am in need of assistance. Lucy-sama has been attacked - I do not know who attacked her, regrettably. However, I found her a short distance from the training facility, unconscious and, drained of much of her blood. It would seem she had been there for several hours prior.

[ And she really should have checked on Lucy sooner, but Lucy's spent hours Because yeah, she's moving pretty quickly with the unconscious Lucy in her arms. Normally she'd have contacted Erza or Natsu first, but the safety and health of her summoner was more important. She (or someone else) could tell them later. For now she would take Lucy to the clinic where someone can help her. ]

[Being senior staff, Adrasteius spends most of time at the clinic--so he's likely to be one of the first faces this girl will see when she arrives. Adra's eyes widen as he takes in both the unconscious Lucy and her apparent caretaker. He gestures, rapidly, for the ... maid ...? to follow him to a room.]

Quickly, this way. What happened?

[ Virgo is quick to follow after Adra - if he can sense magic, then Virgo definitely had a lot of it - whereas Lucy's was much weaker, after the attack. Her expression never changed from that curiously deadpan expression. ]

I was not at her side, so I am unsure of the details. I can only determine that she was attacked this morning - there is a mark on her neck. [ A vampire bite, to be exact. ]

[Because she's not of Azeroth, Adra can only tell that Virgo possesses a great deal of magical energy--he can't easily classify it, though. He wonders if she's some sort of conjuration, or just a powerful being in her own right. It's a train of thought that runs parallel to his primary concern, which is Lucy and the bite on her neck. Vampires aren't common in his world, but they exist, and they're extremely, dangerously evil. He half-frowns, half-scowls.]

I didn't know we had any Light-damned vampires in this fucking place.

[Once they're in a room, he directs Virgo to set Lucy on an examining table. He's got to have a closer look.]

Then it is a vampire which attacked Lucy-sama.

[ Not a question, really, though she carefully put Lucy on the examining table, though Lucy still groaned slightly from the movement. ]

[Adrasteius sets his hand on Lucy's collarbone--her skin is distressingly cool to the touch. That confirms it, then.]

Puncture wounds on the neck. Severe blood loss. Weak pulse. If it's not a vampire, it's somebody who thinks the same way, and that's just as bad.

[Warm, healing light limns his hand as he talks. This energy flows from his palm and into Lucy's body. The bite marks close and mend quickly, but the real work is restoring vitality in the wake of so much blood loss. That will take a little time. He frowns at Virgo as the healing does its work.]

So what the hell are you, exactly?

As yet, I do not know. However, Lucy-sama has regained consciousness at the Transport Clinic. [ Which she is very relieved about. ]

THen I will return this device to Lucy-sama. [ A very confused Lucy-sama, who was wondering who her spirit was talking to. ]

[He likes to poke through the network while he stretches after his morning run, and when he sees this Isaac actually growls, wolfish canines bared.]

Who-- Nevermind. Get her to the clinic now. Someone should be there and I'm on my way.

[That's where he ends the video, and true to his word, perhaps 10-15 minutes later he comes running full tilt into the clinic itself and looking around to see if there's anything he can still do to help.]

[ She was probably about halfway there when this message came in, so when Isaac comes charging into the clinic, Lucy just starting to come around, with Virgo standing close by the examination table. ]

[He slows when he sees her, relaxing with the knowledge that she's in good hands and being taken care of. He fully intends to help where he can, but doesn't want to get in the way. It only takes a moment to clean up a little--well, more than a little, and Isaac is obviously very strict about such things--and then he comes over.

His smile at Virgo is genuine, but serious.]

You found her? Can you tell me what happened, as many details as possible?

[ Virgo looks over her shoulder when Isaac rushes in, her expression never once changing. ]

Unfortunately, I do not know much. I was unaware she was in danger until I noticed her location had not changed within four hours. Lucy-sama often spends time in the library for that long, yet when I traveled to investigate, I found her unconscious in the alley, in the condition I described. That is when I sought to bring her to this place.

You know of such creatures?

[ The celestial spirit pauses when she can hear Lucy's voice quietly from out of view of the feed. ]

Virgo - who are you talking to?

A dragon.

They are the only creature I know of that specifically drain the blood of others. I have never met one personally, though.

[ Apparently the look on Lucy's face is far too amusing to the celestial spirit, who grins. Hehe. ]

Then perhaps it would be best for you to speak with Lucy-sama of this creature. I must depart for the time being.

[ Loki would be in a fit when he finds out. So saying, she hands the device back to Lucy, who just sort of - blinks - blearily at the screen. Huh. It really is a dragon... ]

[Lucy had been asleep when Erza returned so the elder Fairy Tail wizard had sat in a chair beside the bed watching over her friend.]

[Erza was angry, angrier than she had been in a long time. She wanted whoever had done this to pay but she had entrusted those feelings to Natsu so she could remain at Lucy's side. That was her only duty here so far away from home; to protect her friends. What was the point of getting stronger if she couldn't be there when they needed her most?]

...Lucy, I'm so sorry.

[She bunched her hands into fists on her lap, her entire form shaking as though it were holding back the emotions that tried to burst free. There were tears in her eyes but she wouldn't allow them to fall, not in front of Lucy.]

[ Lucy would have said that it wasn't Erza's fault she got hurt. It was her own. Her own fault for being too weak to fight against ...whatever he had done to her. Erza would never have been caught like that - and Natsu would have reduced anyone who touched him to ash before he could even blink.

It was her fault. If she'd just been stronger, more capable - she'd let her friends down before, because the enemy cheated. This time it was because of her own weakness. It sucked and she hated it, and it felt like no matter how hard she trained it just wasn't enough --!

Her hand, lying at her side, twitched involuntarily, the celestial mage rousing from her exhausted slumber at the sound of a voice. ]

[Erza watched as Lucy stirred from her slumber and hastily dried her tears before answering her friend.]

Mm... Yes, Lucy, I'm here. How are you feeling?

I'm fine --I.. I'm just tired. [ She started to prop herself up, only to flop against the pillows again. She looked momentarily frustrated ]

... I'm... sorry, Erza.

[Against many protests from the nurses and doctors, Natsu forced his way in even dragging one of the male nurses when the doctor called him in to restrain the Dragon Slayer.]

[He doesn't even fully notice them. They are just in the way. Lucy. He has to get to Lucy and make sure she's okay. That she is still alive. Still in this world.]

Let me go god dammit. I need to see her!

[Natsu yells and yanks his arm out of the male nurse's grip only to stumble through the door to Lucy's infirmary. Natsu's stumble means he ends up on all fours but his head snaps up to attention as he picks up Lucy's familiar scent.]

[He's heard the bare bone details but he wasn't ready to see her like this. His eyes widen and he grits his teeth. Natsu picks himself up and walks closer. The doctors take note he's not making half as much of a ruckus as he made getting to her room so they decide to leave the male nurse outside the door just in case. Not that he's able to drag Natsu out of there anyway. Still he watches the boy move closer and put his hand over the girl's gently.]

[ Well, up until Natsu's arrival she -had- been asleep, albeit a restless sleep, but she didn't move until Natsu's hand touched hers. Her hand twitched slightly, just a bit, rousing her from her sleep. Though the drinks she'd been given was a lot of help in restoring her strength and vitality, the doctors had insisted she'd need to stay overnight to be monitored. She wasn't as pale as before, but she hadn't regained the strength and vitality she had before in the slightest. ]

Natsu...? [ She turned her head a little, a mix of relief and shame at the sight - the incident from her apartment the furthest from her mind, she almost felt she couldn't even face her friends for what happened. And at the same time, she was glad to see him, even though it hurt to see him looking so worried. She mustered a slight smile, to reassure him. See, she's fine - absolutely, totally..! ]

It's... okay, I..I'm fine. [ So fine, she has to strain a bit to push herself upright. ]

[She's not fine at all. She better not think for a moment she' convincing him of that. Still he keeps quiet about it and just encases her hand in his own and then increases the temperature. She feels so cold compared to how she normally feels around him.]

[ No, she didn't think she was convincing him, but she had to make the effort. The warmth from his hands helps to warm her a little more, but hearing that tone, how worried he is, she can't look at him. Her gaze slid away, guiltily, a small frown crossing her face. ]
