[ Video/Action ] around 8:30AM

[ Several hours after Erza's post goes out to the public, another is made, this one from Lucy's device. Only it's not Lucy that's making the post, but a blue eyed, pink haired girl dressed in a French maid uniform. ]

I am in need of assistance. Lucy-sama has been attacked - I do not know who attacked her, regrettably. However, I found her a short distance from the training facility, unconscious and, drained of much of her blood. It would seem she had been there for several hours prior.

[ And she really should have checked on Lucy sooner, but Lucy's spent hours Because yeah, she's moving pretty quickly with the unconscious Lucy in her arms. Normally she'd have contacted Erza or Natsu first, but the safety and health of her summoner was more important. She (or someone else) could tell them later. For now she would take Lucy to the clinic where someone can help her. ]

[ Action at the clinic or Video over the network ok~ (with Virgo or Lucy when she wakes up). Follow up to this ]

[ Now that isn't fair! He wasn't the one who was attacked - she glances down at her lap, her hands - even the one in his hand, curling into fists. ]

But it's true! I couldn't get him off of me -

[ She cringed slightly, even trying to remember what had happened. It was just the feeling of his presence and that voice and the memory of blood running down her hand and - yeah stopping there. ]

I tried, and I couldn't. [ Oh the shame of it all! She knew, KNEW Natsu hated to her hear think of herself as weak, and she knew she could be strong against some of her opponents, but - in this, it was like she couldn't do anything but delay the inevitable. It made her sick to her stomach, as she bit her lip, focusing on a bit of loose thread on the blanket. She couldn't bring herself to look at Erza, at first, either. ]

He probably just got the jump on you.

[A luccky guess but a good one given Lestat's abilities.]

[The more Natsu heard the stronger his resolve to hunt the attacker down became. But first he has to deal with Lucy and her own guilt.]

[He sits down on the edge of Lucy's bed and before she can even react, pulls her in against him, trying to provide that safety and warmth she needed to help get over that memory of the past night.]

[The scent surrounding her, A scent alient from that of the medicine and the infirmary room itself. That scent embedded into her very pores. That scent marked his target. A target he would hunt down to the gates of hell itself.]

[ He kinda did, since Lucy had been tired from pushing herself jogging, and then training before Erza'd decided on their early morning training. But Lucy doesn't have a chance to respond to that, with Natsu suddenly pulling her against him like that. Which pret-ty effectively halts her thought process beating herself up. ]

Natsu ...

[ Always seemed to know what to say, or what she needed most - maybe even better than herself. Almost immediately that feel of tension and frustration ebbed away from her, and she closes her eyes briefly, leaning against her friend and drawing that warmth and strength from him he always gave her when she was scared, or upset. ]

[It physically hurts, seeing her like this, hearing the words coming from her mouth, putting that crushing weight of blame on her shoulders alone. How can just mere words and sounds hurt like this. His chest feels tight and his blood is boiling and baying for him to do something to set things right. Not even that repulsive scent still surrounding her body can push him away.]

It's okay. It's gonna be okay.

[He didn't really know per say what to do in these situation. He just went with what he felt was required and right, even if that might have drifted into more than friendly territory in the eyes of others. That's how it's always been.

But that isn't the only surprise he has for Lucy. He squeezes her frame against him a little more and his face is pressed right up to her neck with his lips only inches from the smooth skin there. So precious. The most precious even. And he let this happen to her.]

[ If anyone else said that, Lucy would have been skeptical. But for some reason, when Natsu says that it's going to be okay she... can actually believe it. Goodness knew why, but she chalked it up to the fact that he was her dear, precious friend. He was always like this, and she took comfort from that as well.

Momentarily caught off guard when the hug tightens, her thoughts spike into white noise for a split second, especially when she felt how close he was to her neck. And then she scolded herself for being silly, raising her arms to wrap them around him in turn, as tightly as she could manage, choking back a small, distressed noise. But that gets muffled against his shoulder (not that he doesn't hear it anyway because proximity and senses), and when she can find her voice, she nods first, slightly, taking a steadying breath. ]

... okay.

[ It's barely more than a whisper, but it's a start. ]

[He stays like that, his hands slowly rubbing up and down Lucy's back trying to give her more of the warmth he has in abundance. Anything to make her even a little more lively than she is right now. But he knows not to expect any drastic change.]

[Still the more he holds her, the more that scent is carved into memory. And he can't help but wish to burn its source until nothing but ashes are left. That is when he notices the bite mark on her neck and realizes it is where the scent is strongest. His body tenses up at the puncture marks and Lucy is fortunate she can't see his eyes right now.

Natsu does occasionally go over the top but most of the time at the end of the day he manages to forgive and in some cases even befriend those who wronged him or those important to him. But this. This is unforgivable in his mind. His nose then follows the same scent down to her thumb where she'd been first bitten. Out of the two options he decides to go with the safest. He pulls back and his hand brings up Lucy's hand to his lips and he presses them against the bite mark there as if to clean it of the filth her attacker left there.]

[He stops only when he picks up another scent from further down the corridor.]

Erza's here.

[Which means his visit is going to end for now. Just the right timing too. His next course of action is already set in stone and if he had to see the markings on her neck for any longer, odds were he'd break something in the room.]

[ It's soothing, comforting as always to be close to her friend, but she sighs softly at the feel of his hands rubbing her back. She almost regrets knowing that once he's gone, that warmth she feels will ebb away again. THis close she can feel him tensing, opening her eyes curious. Though she can't see his face, and it's -probably- a good thing.

And... he's just full of surprises today, because she hadn't expected that gesture from her friend, a flush coming to her cheeks at that, her breath catching in her throat for a second. Erm. But again, she's caught at a loss of saying anything, not that she's sure she'd know what to say. Because...what do you say to that. ]

...she is? [ Glancing towards the door because Natsu would definitely know better than Lucy. ]

Okay. [ But oh, before he goes- ] Natsu... thank you. Somehow I...feel a little better.

[Well between his talk with Erza during training and learning that something this bad happened to Lucy, it can be understandable why he's acting quite outside his usual routine.]

Yeah. I can smell her further down the hall.

[Honestly it's not like he isn't coming back. He just needs to get something done. And to vent. A lot of venting needs to happen. Still hearing that he has somehow managed to make her feel better. It's a start but not enough. Still he manages to give her a smile closer to his usual and the ire in his eyes subsides faintly.]

Good. I'll come back later. Okay?

[ True, but it's still caught her off guard. She nods slowly, leaning back against her pillows again. And of course Natsu was coming back - hopefully by the time she saw him again later, she'd be a little stronger, warmer and back to her normal self. She smiles back at the familiar smile of his, nodding. ]

Okay. I'll see you then.

[It's a start. And that smile does make his own a bit more genuine.]

Oh. I'll bring you some books when I visit later. Any one in particular you want?

[Preferable one without vampires ya know?]

[ Aww. Lucy pauses, and then nods at the question. But yes, she doesn't want to so much as read a vampire novel for a very long time. ]

Yeah - There was one I was reading the other day- it's on the desk by my bed. Thanks.

[ Touch the book and nothing else or she's kicking you. When she's strong enough. Though after a short pause, she considers again. God her hair must be a mess. Maybe it's a good thing she didn't have a mirror to see her reflection. ]

[Nope. Maybe investing in some garlic is a good idea too.]

Got it.

[He'll gladly take the kick when she can dish it out. But he's not going to give her anything more to fret over. Not until she's back to 100% He can be serious when matters warrant it. A lot of people seem to forget that.]

[And with that he opens the door and walks out of the room and down the corridor. He doesn't even get halfway out of the hospital before his mood darkens again. Something must be done. And he knows exactly what. Time to send a message.]
