[a little night music, Exsilium?
this feed comes within the midst of some, with Simmaeri idly grazing her fingers across the face of the tablet. she's taken to song while she waits for some sound – more fresh voices from the machine. but it's rather late (say, 2am? shush i can forward date if i want), so there's few stirring.
those who do have the network open can hear, though. some foreign song with foreign words, somehow conveying something about silver ladies and faraway cages...sleeping kings and a girl on fire (who isn't alicia keys). slow and soft, rather sad.
it tapers now and then to a humming refrain, the last of which ebbing to quiet with the end of the song.]

[Loki is about to turn back for home when he feels a current of something mystical ruffle his feathers. A moment later, the static feeling of magic is followed by sound-no...by song. Curious, he follows the song to its source and lands close by Simmaeri in the branches of something that had long ago ceased to be a tree.]
it is perfect :]
as she sits, the song is broken up, tending to the reactions here and there from the device. it pleases her, this strange contraption. voices without a body more often than not...strange, but not unwelcome.
but with those things tended to, her voice trails off again – distant cities and winding roads. with a bit of wind rattling at naked branches, her wandering gaze turns upward, eyes crinkling a little at what she sees. it could just be coincidence she has begun to sing of birds aloft.]

Because Eridan rarely does, honestly, instead opting to just sit up all night browsing the network in the dark.
But he's pretty surprised once he hears the singing, then realizes who it is from the display name. Huh.]
Been a while since I heard you around.

but there is a delay, searching for the name tied to it; with so many faces and names in her memory and him so faintly known, it does get lost in the shuffle.

voice;
It's during an absent check of his communication machine that Connor comes across the recording. The words are strange, the language unrecognizable, but the sound- the sound is beautiful and almost haunting given the way the song drifts out of his tablet.
He's hesitant to reply when the recording comes to end. He knows the sacred quality some songs possess and can't be sure whether he was meant to hear this one or not. But then, others have already offered their comments and compliments so he supposes it's fine to speak up.]
Why do you sing?
