Hey. Hello? This is on, right? You know, they should put a light on these things to show they're transmitting. Maybe they do, I didn't really - [Barely a pause as he checks himself, gets back on track.]

Sorry. Hi, my name's Peter. Peter Parker. So I got the welcome tour, and I guess my big question is - where can we get decent food around here?

[Priorities. He got most of the relevant info the other day, anyway. He almost looks like he's done, but then he abruptly remembers something and speaks up again in a rush.] And I made a thing. I mean, I didn't really make it, I just re-made it. I probably messed some of it up, but I guess nobody here's going to know any better, right?

It's for Collette, but I figured anybody could use it. Let me know if you have questions, or just type "help" and it should cover the bases. And don't forget to use your lanterns. [And Peter out - no wait, just kidding. He's half a second from ending the transmission before he stops.]

A role-playing game. It's pretend, like with this one you pretend you're an adventurer sneaking around collecting treasures. Or that's what you're supposed to do, anyway. I'm not sure if anyone's figured that out yet.

And congratulations on making it two months, I guess? [He's not quite sure if that's worth congratulating. He has no idea what these missions are like.]

[He's patient as he listens, letting his gaze wander back to the attached game now and then.]

It sounds like it could be fun - I've never heard of a game like that. I suppose this would be much safer than the real thing though.

[Grinning faintly, nodding his head.]

Yeah, no problem. They have kind of a learning curve, I guess, but once you're used to them they're great for zoning out.

What kinds of games are you used to?

[He brightens a bit at this question.]

I am rather fond of chess, actually. And you? do you like more of these sorts of games? Are there ...more of these sorts of games?

[Because they sound fascinating!]

Yeah, you know, just - zoning out. Letting your brain kind of shut off or hyper-focus on one thing.

There are a lot more games like this, yeah, but most of them are more advanced - they've got pictures and video.

But chess is cool too. [ Said with complete honesty, though he has more experience with chess online than on an actual board. ]

Sometimes it's nice to do that. Zone out, I mean.

[The word phrasing is strange to him, but the meaning behind it makes sense. He likes having moments where he doesn't have to focus on everything and can simply work on one thing intently.]
