3. I crashed a dune buggy when I was twelve and despite totaling the dune buggy, the worst I ended up with was a badly scraped up elbow.

What about the non-sexual love quadrant? Does he have someone there who might be able to help him figure out this other dude is being a total jerk? It'd make a little sense that he'd be ignoring what you say because he doesn't want to think you're right, with the whole.. hate part. And denial's strong in all sorts of people.

Can the different quadrants talk to each other? Since you love him too, talk to her and ask if he has, or if she knows anything? Since you both care about him, and maybe he needs to hear from her but doesn't know how to tell her he does?
