[So he's figured out how this tablet works now, so started reading back a bit. One thing has mostly caught his attention, so here he is.]

A lot of you seem adamant to abstain from offering your loyalty to the initiative, which...I understand in the sense that they are strangers just as much as the United Earth.

But should the claims of their forces attempting to raid your own home world be true, it would have disastrous consequences for the people you know still there. Is that worth the risk?

Or is there something else I'm missing here?

Is it some form of Otherworld? A land of the dead, maybe. It would explain a lot.

It is. Hueco Mundo is where Hollows like myself reside. Though I do not expect you know what a "Hollow" is.

Think of them as corrupted spirits.

The term is unfamiliar, but not the concept. Spirits are vulnerable if not properly taken care of, it's why the dead pass on.

Though you act awfully sane for a corrupted spirit.

An exception is definitely one way to put it. The only exception who hasn't declared immediate intent to gut me with their weapon.

Funny thing about Death.

The deceased seem to think beating it, literally, is some sort of ticket for a return departure. Makes that kind of behavior more common than you'd think.

They'll never learn.

Have you known any that have been able to defeat it?

Noone can escape Death, even if they did succeed in avoiding it after they were due. It's the natural order of things.

Avoiding it merely prolongs the inevitable...in some cases, prolongs their suffering.

Yet they'll continue to try.

A disappointing cycle.

I suppose fear's a powerful thing.

It can keep one alive.

Sometimes.

But it drives most to irrational behavior - more than often it's a nuisance.

Leading them to only find the very death they were trying to escape from.

Mmhm. When the time comes, it comes. There isn't much use fighting it.

Were you always this accepting of Death?

Perhaps. Where I am from, death remained a constant reminder.

Each day could've been your last.

[Even if she's strong enough that nobody there could really touch her. And the ones that could are kind of... dead.]
