[Okay, Exsilium. Hilda's kept quiet on the network so far, although she's commented to other people. She's chiefly been out to familiarize herself over the past month with the city, among other-- things.
(Like settling Victini in, and finding somewhere to put him if she should leave.)
She's ready today, though, to ask a few questions of her own. Those get pretty nice responses, right? The more philosophical the better. Which would be good if she was the philosophical type, but she isn't. She smiles, because even if she can't ask a meaning of life question she can at least look friendly.]
People get dragged out and go back in time to fight, right? [It's rhetorical. She's already been to the past, during the masquerade. She knows it's possible.] Is there a way to volunteer for that kind of thing?
[The smile slips into a small frown, as she realizes that fighting blindly in a foreign world probably isn't the easiest thing. Time for a little advice getting.]
And if you've been out like that, can you tell me what it's like? Unova hasn't had a huge war since the twin brothers, so I'm pretty much a Basculin out of water.

[...Maybe she shouldn't have used such a colloquial phrase. Oh well.]
I hear they're pretty tasty too, but I wouldn't know. I've never cooked one up.

[ As tactful as ever, Setsuna. ]
Where are you from?
SHE UNDERSTANDS...
A strange world. [She quirks a smile at him. Using people's words was always a nice feeling.] The professor used to describe it as "the wonderful world of pokemon," but I've pretty much only been around Unova. It's my home region. I've heard there's a lot of others out there though, and the closest is a cold one named Sinnoh.
[And even then, that's pretty far off.]
>understand >Setsuna >nope.avi
Unova, Sinnoh... they sound like stars. Are they far away, up in space?
[ ...swing and a miss there. ]
this sounds mean but i really hope all of their conversations are a swing and a miss
setsuna + girls is always a swing and a miss in canon so yep

You could try just askin'. Turning down help wouldn't be a smart move on their part.
video;
Oh, huh, you're probably right. [She'll check it out when she has the time, then, and additionally drop off her partner with her friend.] Have you been on one before?
video;
Pretty sure they take groups, too. Might be worth looking into. [ SUBTLE HINTING since. kids. He's sure she can handle herself, but he's still going to be a little protective. ]
video;
Sounds great. Do they let you bring back things, like books or toys?

D --> Further describe what pokemon are
D --> Is that what you call animals on your planet
D --> Or is it some kind of animal group
sorry man she likes cameras so video forever
They're pretty much what we call animals, I guess? But they're a lot more than animals at the same time. They're really amazing creatures with [she pauses, but decides to take Team Plasma's words for her own] with unlimited potential. Most of them are wild, but they can all pretty much be tamed to some degree by catching them in specially made balls.
[Boy, those lectures from Professor Juniper sure are coming in handy.]
They come in a lot of different shapes and sizes, and they're pretty smart too. They're all really powerful compared to us humans too.
And I shall counter with perma text
D --> An incompetent orangeb100d I knew once enjoyed it. I don't know what it's called, it was silly
D --> But 100ked fun, while still 100king completely silly
D --> Either way, I doubt they would really be a match for a multitude of Alternian beasts, though I can't say the same about the strange spawn Nitram dabbled with

The Initiative's pretty much always looking for help when a mission comes up, but make you sure you get all the details you can out of 'em before you agree. What they need us to do changes a lot, but they aren't exaggerating about how serious this stuff gets.
video;
[Her lips thin at his advice though. Interrogate their superiors? Sounds fine to her.] Thanks for the tip, old man. Can you die on them?
video;
If you're not careful. And they don't always care too much about what happens to the people in the past as long as you get the job done.
video;
Harsh. We're the ones helping them here, they could show a little respect.

You must be Kooky, right? Hilbert told me about you!
[That name is never going to leave you, Princess.]
video
Ah!? Yes, I am... [ IT'S FINE SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT KOOKY MEANS! yet... But wow, she didn't expect Hilbert to talk about her. She wonders what he's been saying about her. ] You must be Hilda or Mei. Um, am I correct? Hilbert told me about you, too.

late, who's late, i'm not late
You actually want to go out and fight? What ever for? War is a terrible, terrible thing. To contribute to something like that-- it's unforgivable!
no one's late here
The sooner this war is over the sooner we can go home. ["If we have a home to go back to" is unsaid, but untrue; if they can help the Initiative win maybe their worlds will be safe and sound when they return.] I'm not going to sit around and let anyone hurt Unova.

Do you really think this is dark, hideous place is our Unova? It's impossible! The legendary dragons, guardians of other regions-- even Arceus itself would never allow such a fate to come to pass!
super sorry!
And are you going to seriously leave people who need our help, even if this isn't our Unova?
