In the recent weeks I've found residence here, I've grown to learn that the medicines of the Initiative are not explicitly trusted by many of us.
My homeworld has a variety of medicines meant for both wounds and illnesses in the battlefield, and in my time as a student, I learned these recipes carefully. [ his gaze now goes to the small variety of bottles; the liquids inside differ in color and shimmer with ethereal light. ] Although many ingredients cannot be found here, there are reliable substitutes that work just as well.
[ and reminded of his rather... eventful gathering of ingredients, the corners of his mouth quirk up. ] To everyone who helped me collect, thank you. I am in your debt.
Its test run ran smoothly. Should anyone find themselves in need of a medicine and prefer not to turn to the Initiative, they are welcome to stop by Unit 304.

I can personally attest that many bureaus are remarkably adept at enforcing such laws.

There is little that does not go unchecked, but I suppose our worlds diverge from similarity in such a blunt way that it can be hard to imagine. As one who particularly uses magicks to defend himself, I find the prospect of not having access to that same power frightening.

The Mist?
[ His brow arches just a little. ]
Just what is this "Mist" you speak of?
.... where did the end of that sentence go /eyes 'thought of'
[ a quiet 'hmm'. ]
Rather strange to describe. It is an energy within my world that allows many humes to... hm.
It is the source of magick. Active mist takes on a vibrant orange. Many areas in Ivalice are incredibly dense with Mist, appearing as greyed golden fog, or can collect in stones. Some stones here, in fact, are already collecting Mist.
I can only hope that such a dense gathering of Mist does not change the landscape, as it is wont to do in Ivalice.
oh, he's asking about the mist.
[ Why hasn't he noticed such a thing before? He's a tad perplexed. ]
Is the Mist itself dangerous?

In Ivalice, there is such a thing as 'magicite' and 'nethicite'. Magicite is stone infused with Mist--as I have said before. Nethicite is a form of magicite--it, however, absorbs magickal energy. When deifacted nethicite absorbs too much Mist and if one tries to remove it--it bursts completely, causing uncontrollable, irreversable damage.
