[A slightly pale and more-than-slightly displeased Ema greets the screen. It looks like she may have had one or two or three narrow escapes from undead.]

This is a really nice way to bring us in here... Oh, it's on already--? [she clears her throat and launches in with barely a preamable.]

I'm Detective Ema Skye... I have a question. So we've pretty much taken care of those... zombie-things now, right? [she ticks off on her fingers:] Also, we heard that animals were the disease vectors, and that something called "holy magic" [she wrinkles her nose at that] can cure them.

That's all well and good...But has anyone done a real forensic investigation? We could trace this back to the source, or at least figure out how it happened... [Her displeasure seems to melt away rather quickly.] It's all part of the power of science!

Yeah, I've been doing all right. I had a few close calls, but somehow I've never been destructible. How have you been?

Something like that. This weapon [she waves her tranquilizer gun around] they gave me isn't too useful against... those things. I need to figure out more about how it works... maybe I could scientifically improve it... But I didn't get hit.

What about Trucy? And the others?

They should be doing all right. I've been keeping an eye on Trucy, at least.

Good. I hope this isn't what this place is like all the time... Talk about not catching a break!

The girl I met when I first got here told me it's usually isn't so obvious that we're in a war, so I'm sure it'll calm down.

I certainly hope so. I'm... not sure how easy it'll be to sleep tonight.

How are your roommates? Maybe you can take turns staying up.

... Maybe. Actually, I have a feeling that one of them could take a large number of them out by herself. [Space cop...]

Good. Well I'm not a good fighter, but if you need anything just call me, okay?

Let's go get coffee sometime when it's a quiet. How does that sound? All this chaos is too much for a guy in his thirties.

Oh, you're barely in your thirties. Pulling that card early, huh? [not like you did your best to insult him RECENTLY, ema...]

Ah... Anyway, of course! It sounds great, Mr. Wright.

I'm a man in his thirties with a teenage daughter. Those age faster than others, you know?

Well, yes... And she's a difficult one, but ... Not in the usual way that teenage daughters are difficult.

You think so? She's been pretty pleasant, to be honest.

Well, she's always so... perky!

It's not a bad thing, but it must be exhausting.

You were like that when you were her age too, you know? Was it exhausting?

Me? I was never like that! And it's not exhausting for the girl. It's just exhausting for those around her.

Are you saying you grow tired of my daughter?

More like I grow tired because of her.
