[ it opens with the sound of walking, the creak of a door opening followed by hard soled shoes on an old wooden floor. there's a creak of a lid opening, and then the scrape of a chair across the floor. There's a pause without sound and then there is a song. After it's done, Takegami plays a couple simple scales and then sighs. ]

That was an interesting interlude. Do try better next time, mm? I think I lasted a good two minutes laying in that alley. Mind, I am still pissed about my jacket. Do you know hard it is to find a good leather coat in this place? Blood does not come out of leather, never mind the holes. People and their guns. How messy.

I did not do that for anyone's benefit, most certainly not mine.

I also do not think that a jail sentence will be something that the creature deserves. She might wear a skin of a human, but human concepts are foreign to her.

She was telling tales of her time as an immortal creature out of one of those Lovecraft tales, drinking and stumbling over her words when she decided to leave the bar. I was there too and since the bar was being dull, I also headed back. We took the same path and she pulled a gun on me, saying I was following her.

[ He shrugged, spreading his hands out, the rings catching the light. ]

I told her that I was merely heading home like her. We argued, she kept on waving her gun and I decided to play with that fact. So I moved in close and dared her to shoot. So she did.

[ it was the truth, more or less. he just wasn't going to go on about what they were arguing about since it usually ended up the same - he taunting her about dying and she denying his words. ]

I suppose I was a little drunk as well, now that I think upon it.

Definitely sounds like it because provoking her into shooting was a fucking stupid thing to do.

If she attacks people over meaningless matters like these, we cannot simply let her run around and pretend she won't possibly do it agian.

I am not pretending. Do you wish for me to accuse her? I could do that but from what I understand, the jail time may not be worth the hassle of a public trial.

Have you sat in a trial as a witness? I spent more than few months as one and did not enjoy the constant back and forth between the lawyers.
