I don't know about you guys but i'm feeling a lot less faith in these initiative freaks than i had a month ago. we really are fighting a losing battle- whats worse, we don't have a choice.

hey i'm sorry i haven't been around much lately. that whole underground/war/mutants thing really threw me for a loop, i guess. anyway, things should be back on track now that i've got stuff sorted out.

The other stuff I'm planning to creatively poll my friends and figure out who can cook but I was kind of wanting to do a small friends dinner thing like Thanksgiving? Just... you know, I thought it'd be nice. And Scott and Erika could come and a few others I was thinking about, anyone else you want, really!

Potluck! Potluck will be perfect. Ask anyone coming to bring something, and we should have everyone covered in no time! I can probably manage mashed potatoes... and figure out the bird situation. I think we've got more chicken than turkey here, but we might luck out!

I wouldn't say we're fighting a losing battle, at least not yet. From what the Initiative has told us we've made some headway, though I have to say it isn't really fast enough for my liking.

There are also some of us who believe this is our cause to fight.

I think we're winning, it's just going slow. We take two steps forward and one step back.

It's my cause because they hurt people I care about. They broke into our home and assaulted us. They're invading our worlds and draining our resources. They need to be destroyed.

The only reason they can hurt us to begin with is because the Initiative brought us here in the first place. So technically, it's their fault you're being hurt.

I don't disagree that the Initiative is blameless in our suffering. They've done more than a few things to make me judge their altruism. I don't like the fact that they took all of us from our homeworlds without even so much as asking for our help first, but I'm used to being recruited into battles I had no interest in fighting.

There's a saying where I come from: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." I won't count the Initiative as friends just yet, but I do count them as allies.
