[Looking annoyed and more than a little irritated, Claire’s pacing in her room with her communicator, the video focused on her face from a lower angle.] Usually when you’re drafted to fight a war, it’s at least in the right century.

Look. I need to get back home. I know that everyone's probably saying the same thing. But the entire world was about to change, and I'm needed there. You can't just take people against their will like this. I don't care about your war, I need to be fighting my own.

[A sigh. She lifts the camera for a clearer view of her face.] In the meantime, I guess I should say.. My name is Claire Bennet. And I guess while I'm here I could use a little training.

[Claire's standing near a bench in the courtyard, fearlessly twirling her Kamas in her hands. It's a good thing she did all of that baton twirling in Cheerleading camp that one summer, otherwise it would have taken her a lot longer to figure it out. She still can't quite figure out what sort of technique she's supposed to use with these things. The sharp and pointy part she gets, but the fighting discipline is is way over her head.

Wearing new clothes and being much cleaner and well put-together than she was when she first arrived, the expression on her face suggests that she's either bored or deep in thought.

She wonders if there's a way to send a message back through time to Hiro, or to her dad, or Peter. Then she'd be able to get out of here, get back where she belongs. Though.. A part of her is a little relieved she doesn't have to see that heartbroken look on her dad's face right now. She's not really looking forward to having to explain her actions to everyone.

Maybe the temporary kidnapped state will be a good thing.]

[The man that answers Claire's video is frightfully pale, with nearly transparent grey-blue eyes. His voice is a mellow baritone, pitched with received pronunciation common to England. He's neatly dressed, dark curly hair the only part of him that seems out of place, wild and in curls that are need of a trim.]

[Claire moves to sit on her bed, as she's pretty sure she's going to want to talk to this guy for more than a second or two.]

Good. Any ideas? My best one involved being as useless as possible so they'll just send me back. [She smirks a little, poking fun at herself.]

[So Eddie's initial plan was to come to the training hall when there weren't as many people there. Get in some quality time with his guitar, figure a few things out. The Initiative told him they had done something with his weapon, but when he asked, they were remarkably cagey about giving an answer.

So Eddie has been spending his free time at the training hall, trying to figure out just what it was that they did to his beloved Flying V. However, the sight of Claire with her new found weapons gave the roadie pause, so he strolls her way to strike up a conversation.]

You bring those with you, or did the suits in the Hold give them to you?

[She fumbles a little with the kama in her left hand, her weaker hand, and it nearly slices her arm again, but she manages to stop it. One thing about her ability is that she doesn't exactly need to be careful, so she's a little out of practice with.. well, being careful.

Claire looks up at him with a twitch of a smile in greeting. She sighs a little.] They gave them to me. Or, I guess I chose them. Kind of having trouble telling the difference.

[She eyes his guitar curiously.] What about you?

[We can certainly add another one to the annoyed-and-angry-teenager brigade today. The face that now appears onscreen is looking just as much so. Her expression is set into a line, and when she speaks, her voice is flat. Oh so flat.]
