video;
( Winry taps on her tablet screen, waiting for some sign of feedback. When it plays, it shows her frowning, bandana in hair, apron on. That also appears to be the ceiling. )
No, send the message already, don't do whatever you're doing now --
( Ah, but the tapping pays off, the video feed ending and a text message posting to the network soon after. )

I'm looking for some kind of foam molding to outfit a leg I'm working on now that my customers have all reappeared. I don't know if any of you have worked with prosthetic limbs before, but I've heard rumors of some kind of shape-retaining foam that used to be used for them? Has anyone seen some kind of material that would work similarly?
Let me know if you have, or if there's any good scrap metal or hardware stores you've run into off the main part of the city.
Thank you,

[You remind him a bit of Zexion: prodigious talent at a young age is rather noteworthy. He's not sure this 'automail' stuff is really a viable possibility for Nobodies--he's not even really sure if replacing the organ is necessary, since he's pretty sure he's still got, like... blood and stuff--but it's worth looking into.]
Can you tell me more about it? Automail, I mean. I'm not really mechanically inclined, but you could say this is a subject I take a bit of a personal interest in.

I suppose I could come by. I only got here the other day, so I'm still figuring out where everything is around here, but if you can give me an address I'm sure I'll manage.

[And that, as they say, is that. He still isn't quite sure what he thinks of this place, and he'll reserve judgment for the time being, but at least he's found something interesting.
[He occupies himself meandering around the areas nearby the housing complex, looking for a place to get something to eat and taking a bit of time to boggle at the general state of disrepair the city is in. Really, they should clean this place up a little. When he notices it's a bit after 6:30pm, he supposes that constitutes 'evening' enough and decides to go check out this automail stuff with this Winry girl. She seems rather enthusiastic about her work, which helps; it's no fun to hear a lecture from someone who doesn't have a passion for what they're talking about, after all, and if he's going to take this information back to Saïx he wants to make sure he has the facts straight.
[Finding the indicated apartment, he raps crisply on the door, then shoves his hands in his pockets to wait for Winry to answer.]

At Axel's knock, she looks up, half expecting to see Robin out in the hall -- but no one else is there. Which meant it was likely one of the people she'd asked to come stop by later.
Standing, she smooths down her apron as she calls out; )
Be right there!
( And she is, opening the door and greeting whoever stands on the other side with a smile and a curious glance.
When she sees who's there -- Tall, skinny, red hair, male. )
Are you Axel? Come on in. I've been working in the kitchen since it has the larger table, you're welcome to take over one of the unused chairs.

Bingo, that's me. [He steps inside and nudges the door closed with one foot, musing that it's a bit funny, to him, that a young girl would be so comfortable just inviting a complete stranger over. Axel wasn't of a particularly mean stock, of course, and certainly wouldn't have deliberately hurt her unless she gave him a very good reason, but he did find himself wondering what sort of world she came from. Did she grow up in a very safe place where the idea of a stranger bringing harm was unfathomable? Or was she simply some kind of secret badass who was truly capable of handling herself no matter her opponent?
[Curiouser and curiouser.
[Casting his eyes around the shop, he follows her languidly toward said kitchen, hands still in his pockets, then grins a bit.]
Did you get your idiot all taken care of?
[He nods appreciatively at her offer and hooks his foot around the leg of a nearby empty chair, swinging it around to plunk down backwards in it and sitting up very straight to get a good look at all the metal contraption pieces on the table. He gives a low whistle.]
That's quite a collection of bits and bobs. Are you taking apart or putting back together?
