002 ♛ Public Service Announcement: Lucifer | Filtered away from Lucifer and Meg

[ Castiel is making another one of his rare public appearances on the network, having few topics he is willing to discuss that would be appropriate for public consumption.  But the topic was one that needed to be urgently discussed -- a warning of a new threat when the Initiative was already at their weakest. ] 

Some of you may be aware of a... middle-aged man bearing a white bastard sword from his correspondence last night.  This man is not as harmless as outer appearances may lead one to believe.

He is an angel, and his real name is Lucifer.  This name may or may not be familiar to you, but he is known by many names.  Beelzebub, Satan, the Devil...  Lucifer is not to be trusted -- he is powerful, he is driven by vengeance and hate... and his merciless disregard for human life is unmatched.  He is not to be trifled with.

I don't know what the Initiative was thinking bringing him here.  But you must all of you be on your guard.

[Raven is pretty sensitive too but careful enough to refrain from giving in to curiosity and probbing any further.

She rolls her eyes at the angel's question.]

I wouldn't still be fully clothed or standing in the middle of the kitchen if I was, Cas.

[She picks the tea pot and starts pouring hot tea in her mug. She glaces at him.] Tea?

[ Castiel shifts on his feet like a man uncomfortable with the topic and all too ready to accept her answer and move on. He's not even thirsty, is never thirsty unless he's suddenly human and that's only been a few times, and a whole month in Attollo. ]

Yes, thank you.

[ But he accepts the offer anyway. Just goes to show how eager he was for a change in topic. ]

I believe you were about to tell me something sensitive... regarding Lucifer?

[She pours a cup of tea for him and hands it over to him.] Here you go.

[Sensitive? Yes, probably. But quite personal too.] You know what I am, don't you?

[ Cradling the mug in both hands, he just... holds it. ]

I have learned that it is impolite to jump to conclusions... [ And that doesn't really stop him from continuing on with the very assumption he's been holding back. ] But I have suspected for some time now that you have demon blood running through your veins.

It is hereditary, I assume?

It's not really a matter of jumping to conclusions. More of being able to sense it or not.

Yes. My Father's a demon. Trigon's the name. He's supposed to be the equivalent of the Devil in my world.

[ Castiel relents; it's clear that he sensed something, and likewise Raven sensed there was more to him. It did not stop them from being allies under the Initiative, not yet anyway. ]

And you fear that this version of the Devil will be able to control you as your father had?

[ It's a guess, derived from where this conversation has been going since the name 'Trigon' was first mentioned. ]

[Raven bites her lip.]

My Father has never been able to control me... ['Yet', Red Raven adds inside of her mind with an evil smirk.] I've always done my best to stay out of his reach. [By suppressing her emotions all the time and fleeing to Earth before he came to Azarath.] And I don't intend to let Lucifer control me either.

However it's useful for me to know what kind of influence he has over the demons of your world. ...Better safe than sorry you know.
