[ Castiel is making another one of his rare public appearances on the network, having few topics he is willing to discuss that would be appropriate for public consumption.  But the topic was one that needed to be urgently discussed -- a warning of a new threat when the Initiative was already at their weakest. ] 

Some of you may be aware of a... middle-aged man bearing a white bastard sword from his correspondence last night.  This man is not as harmless as outer appearances may lead one to believe.

He is an angel, and his real name is Lucifer.  This name may or may not be familiar to you, but he is known by many names.  Beelzebub, Satan, the Devil...  Lucifer is not to be trusted -- he is powerful, he is driven by vengeance and hate... and his merciless disregard for human life is unmatched.  He is not to be trifled with.

I don't know what the Initiative was thinking bringing him here.  But you must all of you be on your guard.

Perhaps in your world, but I assure you... Lucifer is a very real threat, and he does not rule in Muspelheim. He was contained in the Cage... deep in the Pit.

It is troubling that those who run the Initiate have power to bring such beings here.

What strength does this Lucifer have?

Perhaps it was an accident... or perhaps they are truly desperate since the last attack.

Lucifer's strength is great.

I have found that he seems to favor coercion and deception rather than the use of brute force... but that doesn't mean he is above the wholesale slaughter of human lives by his own hand.

And his weaknesses?

Aside from the understandable abandonment issues, I would argue that Lucifer has none.

Perhaps... if our weapons evolved enough, they could harm him.

I have faced beings of great might and overcome them, yet even I am unsure that my strength would be enough to overcome the Son of Perdition, should he put his full power forth.

[He pauses a moment.] My brothers, Baldur and Loki, are here also. I shall confer with them regarding this matter.

Baldur and Loki? [ Castiel is familiar with this particular pantheon, although his face is not. But this is not the first universe he's been in where he's encountered something... or someone a little different. ]
