002 ♛ Public Service Announcement: Lucifer | Filtered away from Lucifer and Meg

[ Castiel is making another one of his rare public appearances on the network, having few topics he is willing to discuss that would be appropriate for public consumption. But the topic was one that needed to be urgently discussed -- a warning of a new threat when the Initiative was already at their weakest. ]

Some of you may be aware of a... middle-aged man bearing a white bastard sword from his correspondence last night. This man is not as harmless as outer appearances may lead one to believe.

He is an angel, and his real name is Lucifer. This name may or may not be familiar to you, but he is known by many names. Beelzebub, Satan, the Devil... Lucifer is not to be trusted -- he is powerful, he is driven by vengeance and hate... and his merciless disregard for human life is unmatched. He is not to be trifled with.

I don't know what the Initiative was thinking bringing him here. But you must all of you be on your guard.

Our Father created man, and made it known that the angels were expected to bow down and love His creation. Lucifer took offense, and refused to love these imperfect, flawed beings more than our Father.

Lucifer took a human and twisted her into the first demon -- Lilith -- which I assume was to prove a point about how corruptible humans were. It is for this act of disobedience that God cast Lucifer into the Pit, to await the Apocalypse.

I wanna know everything he can do. Everything.

[If he finds out he hid something from him, things will get messy.]

I do not know everything he is capable of. But I know he is more powerful than I am. Much more.

...If you still have the Colt, I recommend you refrain from using it on him. It won't work.

[If he had the Colt, he'd empty it on Castiel a long time ago. No. He just has a Colt.]

The blade, same as you. [He assumes; monsters of the same kind tend to die the same way, no matter how powerful they get. And yes, that is a little bit of a threat. I know how to kill you.]

If my blade would work on Lucifer, don't you think I could have used it by now?

[ And don't think that he missed that detail. You can't see it, John, but he's frowning at the device. ]

First you answer my questions. What can he do, tell me what you know.

[And then he'll think about whether he feels like giving you an evasive answer or just hang up in your face.]

You know what I can do, John. [ Smiting, healing... teleportation. John knows more in that one encounter than most everyone here. ]

[That sounds like a threat to him.]

As I have said, I do not know everything.

Lucifer has the ability to destroy me with a snap of his fingers, his fire burns cold and he is nearly impossible to kill.

[Maybe he should let him off you before he kills him :|]

[ He doesn't know, but that's the best he can do. ]

Aside from Him or Archangel Michael, I have no idea what can kill Lucifer. It's why we locked him in a Cage.

[He's about ready to smash this device against the wall.]

I have no idea why everything I do or say fills you with so much unreasonable rage.

I don't need you [yes, there's a sneer in his voice at that word] to tell me to be on my guard. So if there's something actually useful, spit it out now.

[He won't even regard the second comment; it just pisses him off more. Unreasonable. When did looking out for your family become unreasonable. Let him be that, he doesn't care. God knows he's been called a lot worse.]

Perhaps not... but your sons need you to be more careful, especially since Lucifer has an even greater interest in the Winchesters than any other human in creation.

[ This includes you, John. ]

[What makes him even angrier is the fact that he has a point; yes, he's on his guard. But he hasn't been careful, not with his life. A goal, something to keep them safe from; that might be exactly what the doctor ordered.]

Quit beatin' around the bush and gimme the goddamned facts. [God knows Dean won't.]

[ Facts he's already given, as far as he knows... so the repeated demands as if he hadn't are clearly starting to get under the angel's skin. ]

Do you perhaps have a more specific question that I might answer to your satisfaction?

[It's like speaking to a five year old. And it's exasperating. But he promised to try so he grits his teeth and breaks it down for him.]

What. the fuck. does he want. And what the fuck can we do about it. Clearer now?

[Not saying he'll believe it, but he definitely wants to gather as much intel as he can before moving forward. He wants the boys. Ok. But he needs to know what for, and how to keep them safe.]

Lucifer wants to destroy humanity, and to some degree I believe he blames mankind for the position he's in. At the present, all I would recommend is to avoid him entirely.

[Clearly not enough. This angel should count his blessings he can't punch him through the network.]
