[ The feed flicks on suddenly to show the lovely and interesting image of a rock wall, or perhaps it is the ceiling it is hard to tell. What is easy to tell is the owner is this has no idea how to use the netbook. But hey, after twenty minutes of pressing buttons and hoping something works this is significant progress.

The feed jerks and there is a long suffering sigh. Half of a woman appears on the screen, cut off awkwardly, she fumbles it with some more and for a few minutes the feed is a mixture of blurred imagines and more of the wall.

Once it stills the woman with long dark hair can be properly seen, she looks equal parts tired and frustrated, though she tries to appear as if she is neither. ]

Hello, my name is Kahlan. [ She offers a small smile. ] I am new here and as such I do not know what exactly is happening, other than there was some sort of attack. I require information, I will be most grateful to those willing to provide it. I hold no fondness for being in the dark [ Quite literally. ] about what is happening around me.

Ico. [ She tests his name and her lips form into a tiny smile, but it fall shortly after. Guilt pulls at her for not remembering this child, for causing him such worry. ]

I wish I could remember Ico, but I am not certain there is anything to remember. [ A beat. ] Yet I believe your words, I know you speak the truth.

[He found comfort in her words but it was obvious that he was still puzzled over the matter.]

Maybe if you know more, you’ll remember. What information did you want to know?

Perhaps. [ She does not want to build up his hopes, but neither does she want to crush them. ] Anything you can tell me, even the things you think are unimportant.

[hornedomen]

[He placed his hands over his hips as he thought over what was the most important.]

There’s a clinic near the Hold and another one run by the Initiative. I don’t know if it’s still there, but there’s medicine and healers.

[confiteri]

[ She nods, a certain amount of relief showing on her face. ]

I imagine they are in dire need right now, I will remember that.

[He nodded.]

There’s a library in the Hold, and a training hall too.

How large is this library? [ She makes a note to seek it out once she is able. Libraries are a good source of information and will likely be a great aid. ]

It’s very large. There are books from different times and worlds in there.

[confiteri]

There is? [ That makes her eyes widen in surprise. ] That certainly begs looking into.
