[ The feed flicks on suddenly to show the lovely and interesting image of a rock wall, or perhaps it is the ceiling it is hard to tell. What is easy to tell is the owner is this has no idea how to use the netbook. But hey, after twenty minutes of pressing buttons and hoping something works this is significant progress.

The feed jerks and there is a long suffering sigh. Half of a woman appears on the screen, cut off awkwardly, she fumbles it with some more and for a few minutes the feed is a mixture of blurred imagines and more of the wall.

Once it stills the woman with long dark hair can be properly seen, she looks equal parts tired and frustrated, though she tries to appear as if she is neither. ]

Hello, my name is Kahlan. [ She offers a small smile. ] I am new here and as such I do not know what exactly is happening, other than there was some sort of attack. I require information, I will be most grateful to those willing to provide it. I hold no fondness for being in the dark [ Quite literally. ] about what is happening around me.

[Ico had a mix of emotions running through him. He was glad to see her again, but he was also worried and confused.]

Come back? [ Another claiming familiarity with her, but her reaction this time is different. Her feature soften. He looks so young. ]

I am sorry, but I have no memories of this place. [ Or of you. ]

[His voice became softer.] But one day you just vanished.

[ Her heart aches, emotion etches over her face. Part of her cannot believe that she was here before, she has no memory of this place, how could she have been here. Yet when she looks at him she does not see deception. The boy is telling the truth. ]

[It takes a while for the feed to settle on this end too. Good lord, it's the technologically inept leading the technologically inept here. Eventually, though, Kahlan will get a view of a woman with long golden hair and delicately pointed ears.]

I fear that I am not likely to know more. I assume you were greeted in much the same manner as the rest of us.

[ A smile creeps onto her lips, thought she does her best to hide it. Whoever this woman is it is clear she shares Kahlan's difficulty in working the netbooks given to them. ]

I am not so sure, my greeting was rushed due to the attack that was befalling the Initiative.

If I understand some of which I have been told it is foolish to expect our stations to respected, this world is not own our and such our stations are little more than words they do not understand.

No this is not our world, and yet my title remains as such across others. As foolish as it may seem, would you not think it odd your station held little meaning to others when your own authority extends across the stars themselves?

No one holds such authority, I see no reason to find it odd. [ No one she knows of anyway. ]
