—wanted was to know if I had found North yet! [ oh a face!! big dark eyes, huge scowl, and like the biggest, fluffiest hooded jacket ever. ] They were very rude and I would not have minded hurting them, or maybe I would kill them, but they ran away, and now my back hurts. Raafa says people who run away are cowards, and not worth anything. I do not want to see any of them again.

[ a pause, one heavy, frustrated sigh, and then she looks a little bit less pissed. it's good to have that out of her system. no onto what really matters, in the middle of this violent occupation. ]

Also, I want someone to teach me to write.

language lessons part two!!

At least you're confident.

[HOWEVER.]

Speaking and writing a language are two very different things. I was able to converse in basic Japanese when I was a kid, but I could never figure out how to write it. Same for Arabic. If you want to write properly, there's a lot more to take into account, and a lot more mistakes to make. It's not as intuitive as speaking.

If you're serious about learning it, it has to be in person. I can't teach you handwriting over the computer.

Neither is bad. But neither is my home, so it does not matter where I go.

... Yeah, only that it still sort of does. If you get lost or hurt out there, there'll be no one nearby to help you.

So I will not get lost or hurt. It has not happened so far.

Just because it hasn't so far doesn't mean it's impossible. You have no idea what's out there.
